[Edit: I forgot to make a index page to shortcut to some interesting (finished) projects so I'll put it here:] - Start Collecting box Seraphon - Tomb Kings 'army' display - Brettonia 'army' display - High Elf 'army' display - Start Collecting box Sylvaneth - The Battle Between Men o part 1 o part 2 o part 3 o part 4 o part 5 o part 6 o part 7 o part 8 o part 9 o part 10 o part 11 o part 12 o part 13 Hi all, My first Cold One is painted and based, so time to start a blog an show some pic's In here i will post pictures of the models that are done as well as WIP from Seraphon and some older projects i have laying around. SO lets kick off: My Seraphon army scheme is a like the Fangs of Sotek scheme except for the mounts. Inspired by this picture from the GW-site: For the mounts i was inspired by a Painting blog on Youtube: Cold One #1 I am not entirely sure about the coloring of the saddle. Orange is not a returning color in the army scheme, but i didn't like the typpical red saddle. I was wondering if a Yellow saddle would fit better, hence the yellow stripes on the Fangs' shields. Also, looking at the last picture, i'm thinking off glazing the eyes of the Cold One with a drop of varnish. Let me know what you think, much appreciated Gr, Imrahil
Decent start, I think the saddle will be fine once the rider is on as most of it will be covered so you won't have a bright orange patch just bits here and there that will provide nice contrast against the green. TWG has some really good tutorials so make sure you look through his playlists.
I started painting the Scar-Vet for the Cold One that i already finished. WIP Scar-Vet on Cold One And did some work on my Carnosaur(same scheme as the Cold One) WIP Carnosaur after taking the pictures of the Scar Vet i realized that a Scar Vet of the FoS has a red and black stripe on his back, so redid some of his backscales Question: What do you guys do with the scales on his cheekbones? same as his back or his belly? Gr, Imrahil
Looking good! I’ve gone for the same colour scheme with my Seraphon, although I went with the more traditional style of mounts
In the meantime an update on the Scar-Vet and the start of some Warriors: WIP Scar Vet & Warriors I added edge-highlights on the Blue scales and the skin. Also painted the saddle and leather across the shield. For the red I'd like to edge-highlight this and was thinking about 'Fire Dragon Bright'. All the Black I'll give it a 'Drakenhof Nightshade' and a edge highlight of 'Sybarite Green' Let me know what you think. This morning a shipment arrived to make life easier. Intrigued by the Detachable Terradons/Ripperdactyls i ordered some tools New toys To use on my Saurus Knights and Carnosaur and other future models Gr, Imrahil
Can never have enough tools!!! With the red, Fire dragon is ok but make sure you don't cover the full scale.
As said before i did find a box with my older models and projects. And because i promised some pic's, here we go: My Tomb Kings Army Overview of the total army: As you can see, not all of it is completed and some of it is broken down because of storing them(improperly) In front stands the Tomb King from the War Sphinx on foot. Backed-up by 1 full unit of Skeleton Warriors with spears. I really love the way you can adjust the poses of skeletons... there so flexible So i gave them all a different pose. At the right flank a unit of Skeleton Knights converted into Skeleton Centaurs, because i could. The left flank as some unit-fillers and the crew of the War Sphinx on foot, who i wanted to create into an unit of Tomb Guards. In the back is the War Spinx now ridden by a Tomb Priest (built out of the Collegiate Arcane Mystic Battle Wizards) At Last the spare bits of the War Sphinx to make up and WIP Tomb Giant... not sure how to progress from this Also 2 units of skeleton warriors and a other Tomb King still in the box Other models/armies will follow Gr, Imrahil
Thanks, those are my first conversions. Hereby a small sitestep back in the days. Bretonnia! Knight Errants One unit of 8 Errants, two of which painted fully. Pegasus Knight As well as an Pegasus knight, which i am especially proud of paint-wise. It is not totally finished. Gr, Imrahil
Thanks a lot I will in time First i need to have my focus on my Seraphon... I am to easily distracted Gr, Imrahil
Hereby I present to you my first finished character for my Seraphon army Scar Vet on Cold One I'm really glad the way he turned out. already working on some of his servants WIP: Saurus Warriors Comments and Tips are very welcome Gr, Imrahil
