Blog Deeds painting and converting blog

Absolutely loving that troll! Didn’t realise there was so much potential for altering the positions of the limbs in that kit!

That was a nice touch, and an especially troll-y one at that (never actually knew the troll was squashing the centipede until I looked at a pic of the miniature just now).

Don’t worry about that - there’s nothing to stop you from painting your Squigs in a different colour, they can be a super-rare green species. My Skaven use a rare blue Warpstone in their inventions and I once played against a GW member of staff who used blue Ogres!

Also, that poor peasant, undergoing 2 ways to die at once - having his head eaten by a Squig and the rest of him gobbled up by a massive cave troll... :inpain:

:D thank you, I have to admit the basic pose for the trog is pretty good - kinda slumped over with a heavy old maul, but I do like to be different - like my bosses to tell a small story - as ha ability is; being followed by little creatures that seek his protection and a pet gribbly - couldn’t resist him treating his pet to a light snack.

@Crowsfoot :D we will both have a full painted gobbo army each on no time at this rate !
-looking forward to seeing your work.

- my next trick will be a converted fungi shaman

@Aginor thanks.

I’ve been fiddling around with some of the Gobbo caster bits ‘n’ bobs to make myself a suped up Fungoid shaman and a madcap (the latter yet to be made) - see Mr.Fungoid below; bare in mind I will add some green stuff to fill him out and make his stance more astetically pleasing :)

Enjoy.

Nice, I'm in the development stage of the spiders, can't seem to find any big rocks so I think it's going to have to be a styrofoam job.

Hi all,

I haven’t posted much recently (usual busy life in the way of hobbies)
But I managed to squeeze together enough small gaps in the days to paint my first trogg unit.

So here they are, enjoy and as always C&C welcome.

Not sure how I feel about the concept of the endless spells in general, but I love your trolls! (trogs? troggoths? copyright?) I like the color scheme you have chosen better than the pics I have seen from GW, the dark blue-purple skin you painted them as contrasts great with the red mushroom and the green rocks.

Spider finally done!

And some little red/purple flowers added to grots bases as suggested :)
Enjoy.

Fantastic looking big spider! And I love all the detail you put into the base!

Another amazing big daddy troll. Again I love the tiny little details that are displayed on these models, it adds a lot of character to the model itself and to the base!
