That's fair, b/c I do like the Aztec look. But, that's kind of my point about a model update. GW couldn't have dropped the look b/c they haven't had any new Seraphon models since they started Age of Sigmar (have they?). Personally, I think Seraphon is going to be the only Order carry-over army that GW continues to support regularly (unless Aelves make a new appearance). So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Seraphon will see a healthy update this year.
I think that is true. Even among all GAs, Seraphon has the most carry over (perhaps with Death as an exception, but skeletons and the like are all quite a bit more generic). Total War is just about to receive an update to their Lizardmen, and will be the focus of the new DLC, along with Clan Skryre. Now I think this IP branch is fairly de-coupled from the main model branch, but Total War continues to draw in new customers [assumption, citation needed]).
I can absolutely confirm that most Seraphon folks in my area (including myself) are recent converts specifically due to Total War.
I'm coming to AoS from the world that was, so I remember Seraphon when they were just Lizardmen. But, Total War's lizards look REALLY cool and I can see why they've brought over players. To that point, I could easily see GW updating the Seraphon line with an "ancient salamander", and/or some new skink heroes as new models (coming in this new Total War expansion). That wouldn't require them to change any of the old models.
I have never been a big fan of the whole slann star and memory/spaceship stuff. Ive always loved the old lore and those ideas behind the faction.
Yeah give me solid lizards with an area all their own so I can build my army lore. Also please for the love of god give us some plastics. I ruined my Krox putting their damn arms together
dude im having to go out an buy some 1080 grit sandpaper... my resin model just came in and with the investment I made into it I am A) annoyed its resin and B) taking extra time to make sure it fits right. some of the molds seem like they weren't planned out well... and just don't line up. gonna have to give myself a crash course in green stuff modeling for a few spots it looks like.
I dont know if this is old news or not, but ill post it here. I have a friend who plays in clubs down in stoke/nottingham way and there are a few play testers at in the clubs he plays in. They have confirmed that there is 100% going to be new books for Sylveneth, Ogres, Slaanesh and SERAPHON he cant confirm dates or anything like that but it is certain we are getting a new book. He wasnt told anymore but when I manage to find out any more info, ill let yall know. Soz if this is old news! :\
Well, pretty sure sooner or later there will be a new battletome. "When", is still very vague, at best.
Eclipses just rev the number. Common mistake to make. Otherwise there would never be any sequels past "2".
So just did the big warhammer survey. Any time I got to type in what I want I put seraphon battle tome soon lol. If we all do the same hopefully they will get the message
I've seen similar "canvassing" attempts in each corner of the Warhammer world, with each community trying to float their biggest gripe. So this will end up shaking down like a popular election, in a lot of ways. Those communities with the most people, or who are the most motivated and have an active base, will end up producing the most posts in this survey. They likely take the bulk of them, filter by keyword (i.e. "Seraphon") and sort them into lanes ordered by popularity. They then take a small representative sampling and read them. If, and only if, we can "turn out to the polls" will our specific issue get heard ad given weight. But much more likely, the new BT is already in the works and this gets treated more as an alliance census than anything more specific. But that census is itself very important.
