There is 1 Nagash player at my store and no one wants to play against him...

Imo bringing Nagash, who is basically a god was a bad idea by GW. Imagine if you could field any of the major Chaos Gods or Sigmar himself. It would break the game..

He and Allarielle are the only proper gods right? Though Kroak should overshadow both fluffwise if they ever came around to actually make him do anything beyond sit in his spaceship.

But yeah, it's weird as hell that literall gods have gotten models. I'm curious who thought that'd be a good idea.

They could've not made em gods after the end times though.

Everyone who was given a Wind of Magic became gods. It is odd in terms of game play to have a literal god on the table though.

GW should have limited their use to narrative play...

Then make up some fluff as to why they're not super powerfull, put them on par with the most favoured daemons like Kairos that would also have the benefit of explaining how the entire pantheon managed to have so much trouble with the gods of chaos (the pantheon squabbling amongst themselves doesn't really cut it, it's not like chaos presents a united front either with all it's backstabbing and powerstruggles.). Or just make up some nonsense that the models are mere avatars/projections of their respective god's powers as for some reason the gods themselves can't go to the battlefields themselves cuz fluff. There were ways to avoid all this nonsense.

On that note, where are most of the other gods? I know all Geltz has had in AoS is a few throwaway sideways references but I'm not sure about some of the others.

That'd still influence the rest of the game. Especially if they have a proper model. It's not like a special character sheet released in white dwarf or something like that.

To be honest a better approach might've been to threat them like the titans in 40K, basicly impossible to field in a "normal" game due to their excessive point costs. Plus that way they can be even more ridiculously OP compared to the average model and Nagash can't accidently be killed by a Lucky skaven :p

Does anyone have the point costs of the Forbidden Power items? I haven't decided to pick it up yet, but points could make a huge difference.

Penumbral engine - 100 pts (terrian costs points?)
Lauchon the soulseeker - 60 pts
Shards of Valagharr - 40 pts
    Soulscream Bridge - 80 pts
    Horrorghast - 60 pts

So, given that, is there any reason to buy Forbidden power for us? The spells are expensive for minor buffs/debuffs. The movement is great for non-Seraphon.

I am not sure if I want to spend 100 pts on a terrain piece that I may not get to use due to terrain placement rules.

I won't be buying it. The Penumbral Engine Mystic shield might be useful if I'm camping EoTGs or the extra Cmd Pts for a Saurus build. .. But it would guarantee flip to the one I don't want and stay there all game. Lol

Only reason i am thinking of Right now is to mount the Penumbral Engine on to a Stegadon or Bastilodon to make a cool unique Version of a Solar Engine/Engine of the Gods ;)

The main reason for me to buy them, it's that they are great models. I especially love the boat.

    But i don't know if it's a sufficient reason...

That is the reason for most of my buys ;) ... sadly there are even more lovely models i am not able to buy :(

But for this kind of money I'd buy something else... maybe some new Seraphon models coming up :angelic:
    (fingers crossed)

Isn't it a tad large for that?

And I think the main appeal for us is the book given that the book itself is supposed to have new artifacts and spells .The endless spells are somewhat underwhelming, with the exception of the shards. That one seems like it could be quite usefull.

Yeah, I think it will be too big unless you build a custom dinosaur to put it on.

Stegadon + Engine = Engine of the Gods
Dread Saurian + Penumbral engine = Engine of Dracothion!

    Forgeworld should think on it...
