Supposedly married men live longer, but there was a study in Germany that compared monks and nuns against the general population. Granted there are lots of of confounding variables but monks lived considerably longer than average men (four or fiveyears). Nuns had about the same life expectancy of average women, living longer by about a year on average. In general whether or not married men statisically live longer than single men depends on if you count divorced men as single or married. Divorced men have the worst stats for survivability by far.
