I found this site just as I am starting my new army (one I've wanted for a very long time). Anyway, I thought I'd post a few images of what I have so far. So far, I own two Battalions, a Slann and 2 characters. Advice would be welcome, especially on differentiating the top scales from the lower body (I've been using a dark wash)
Well I'm no painter so can't really offer advice in that respect but what I can say is that they look great so far , I'd love to see your army altogether when it's all done, I think it would look fantastic
Looks prety good, I like how you painted the standard bearer, one thing you could do to improve is to paint the claws an teeth bone white. (on the skinks) the trick is to just lightly dry brush the teeth and then a touch of black ink, the claws are a bit easier, also you could highlight the spikes more if you felt like it.
Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate that. I did struggle to think of something to do with the teeth and claws, as I am planning ahead to my temple guard and I didnt want to use too much bone colour anywhere else, so having the claws and teeth plain white would be a good start. Thanks
Hi again guys...I finally got around to taking some more pics of my Lizardmen army. I have been painting on and off since April (when I last posted images) and hopefully you like what you see. Hopefully these images show up, as I am linking them from my Facebook.
Fun stuff. Do you use a matte sealer? It'll knock the shine down on your shields and help prolong the life of your pant jobs.
Thanks guys. The shine on the shields is actually deliberate (I assure you, looks better in the flesh, so to speak). I've been painting at a steady pace for 8 months nowm and I take it as a good sign that theres still more stuff I want...chamealon skinks, terradons and maybe some hordes of saurus
