Same. But, and please take this as the fun fact it is, recall that Root Beer was originally an alcoholic beverage. They still make it with the booze in it... That said, it tastes better without the alcohol. So many different kinds to try!

With that said, some alcoholic beverages are dangerously close in taste to their non-alcoholic counterparts - I can point to more than a few ciders I've had that are virtually indistinguishable from ordinary apple juice, for instance. At the same time, there's also more than a few non-alcoholic sodas whose sugar content automatically makes them inferior. Looking at you, Canada Dry and Schweppes...
