you have to make them battle shock which is hard now a days and then you have less then a 1 in 2 of it working. if it does go off its fun but lets be honest it normally wont
I've collected so many sweat tears with the bloodroar ability. It felt so good to see a morsarr guard or kurnoth unit being wiped from losing a single model in combat. Kind of a bummer that the dread saurian only gets the -1 leadership version.
Unfortunately, Bloodroar just needs too many triggers to be effective. It was very cool to force a whole Morghast to flee just because his companion died, but elite infantry with 3+ wounds is not that common on the battlefield. Idoneth is probably the only tier 1 army that heavily relies on it, while for other armies job is done either by hordes or monsters.
I’m going to disagree here. Blood roar is very potent. Many of the people I have played with and against all fear blood roar, and with two carnosaurs in the action you can get significant numbers of foes to flee.
I've seen a Carnosaur utterly destroy a unit of Bonesplitterz (I think it was Boarboys). It was glorious.
Oh and btw, the new Chaos models solve several rumour engine pictures. It seems that the oldest one is now from April 2019.
unfortunately no the wording is "if your opponent takes a battleshock test for a unit within 8" of any carnasaurs, roll a dice" so sorry it only happens once
no because then it would be good and we can't have good things. 4 carnosaurs in a hunting pack crashing into a few units right next to each other would just melt them if it stacked taking out 8ish models per unit dang that would be cool.
The problem is that the carnosaurs would have to kill at least one model in order to force a battleshock test, and in my experience they can't even be relied upon to do that. Apparently ogors are better at biting things than dinosaurs now.
