That's funny... it worked for me. Maybe your cats are very brave or very disinterested.

Fun fact: biologically speaking Pumas belong to the felinae family, the one house cats belong to, even though they can become bigger than some members of the "large cats" family.



As for the cucumber: the thing that happens there is that an unknown object that could be an attacker suddenly appears, in an environment where they don't expect it (they are at home so they feel safe. Most of the videos show it done to them while eating. They wouldn't eat if they weren't sure they can trust the human standing next to them). So they react extremely, with emergency power.
Or put otherwise: people are breaking their housecats' trust and force them into a situation where they think their life is threatened.
