Honostly the forbidden word should be nerfed. I was talking with my buddy who plays them and he agrees.
We came up with the idea to simply allow the entire army reroll 1s to save. It's still pretty good (entire army gets mystic shield for free) and doesnt make them ridiculous

 

Indeed, that is very potent but definitely not as ridiculous as +1 save. Hopefully they implement something like this as playing against forbidden word just isn’t fun

 

Australian Masters were just won by OBR with Petrifex

new news OBR has taken 2 1st place wins (including the Australia masters) this week and surpassed slaneshs win rates making it the best army in the game at least for this week(i know i know it's to early to tell but dang people). toxic positiveity peddlers can now eat their words

Salemanders like volume of fire, you'l kill a couple but you're not going to kill them quick enough to achieve much.
Kroaknado suffers from it being too spread out over different targets. Admittadly it's better than nothing.​

 

Well with salamanders getting reroll hits on 3+ 3+ chances of dealing d6 damage is good. Especially with the high rend and mortal wound chance salamanders could be a decent option to killing ossiarchs

 

On average it's still going to take you at least 2 salamanders to get a single hit in, and that's ignoring the fact that they still have a save.
I mean, it's one of our better options, but their still going to struggle to do much.

rerolling hits from astrolith you can only fit 3 in a thunder quake so i left that out if you want to just count the 3 in a thunder quake then thats about 2.25 for the 3 of them

 

been playing obr a lot lately. Here is my thoughts.
OBR is a hard counter to slaneesh so until it completely hates slaneesh out of the the tournament scene I do not for see GW doing anything about its rules. This being the case I recommend exploiting their slow movement speed. kill their heroes like any other death army to limit their buffs and screen with endless spells and skinks to slow their movement. Do not bother killing anything else if you can avoid it. Fighting OBR with lizards is a mistake.
Stay on objectives and hold as long as you can. Keep slann and important solos out of los of shooting and keep them away from their 1 per game insta death abilities

 

So basically what your saying is don’t play against them. I also think +1 to saves is a hard counter to everybody
