I hope we will have multiple clans (?) of lizards and some of them going to be against chaos forces. And thus Seraphon will be ultimate meta against ever growing Chaos. New Archaon, StD and the other chaos guys are pretty tough and even pay2win army such as Ossiarch can't sometimes kill them properly (I'm looking at you Mortek Crawler :D).
My guess is that we will have similar to SCE clans - heavy spawn Mages, melee oriented etc. Maybe even skink/saurus restricted clans?
A 2-player box, Seraphon against StD, with a new Seraphon miniatures. Ah, a man can dream...

Honestly it's hard to think about how they'll innovate considering what we've had for so long. It would be nice to have something along the structure of the OBR tome, but it's hard not to think we'll just get a Trait for each race and call it a day, maybe some small variation to the battalions, but considering how lackluster battalions have been for previous tomes I feel like what we already have will get worse.

What prevents me from trying Underworlds is that it is, in fact, CCG. You are almost forced to get starter and, if you want a good deck, you have to get more warband boxes. And cards got obsolate in two years. It may seem not that expensive, but stack on quickly. I'd better spend my money on more lizzies.

Thus far the Sons of Behemat is a Battleforce of Gargants, highly speculated to be a race of it's own jet.

What models do you think are most needing an update? I love what they did with the Terradon Riders last update. I think the Salamander and Razordon (anyone use those?) kits desperately need an update. Although I love the Jurassic park stuff, I'm more interested in troops when thinking about NEW stuff. Given GW's recent focus on big high $$$ kits and the focus on flying model (Warhammer X-Wing?) I can see getting a mounted hero on some sort of giant Pterodactyl.

Oh... and Cold One Riders... PLEASE... something cool for that amazing unit concept. Dino men riding dino horses FTW!!!

the entire range to be honest. You look at our artwork and it shows lizardmen as primal brutal beasts with sharp talons and fangs and they just look awesome. Then you look at our models and they are smooth and curved and look derpy and not threatening at all. Best thing Gw could do is remodel everything as the total war versions.

    - Saurus units are a bit weirdly sized. I don't personally dislike the sculpts, but it's odd that say a tzeentch arcanite cultist is like a head taller.
    - Salamanders
    - Kroxigor

The others are imho fine. The other resin models usually look decent enough it's just that resin is a pain to work with that makes me wish for some new ones.

Also, stegadon & bastiladon have a similar size issue; they are rather small for behemoths. There's non behemoths that are of relative similar size: stuff like dracoths, burning chariots, the new chaos lord on his lizard thing, ironblasters, skullcrushers. None of those are behemoths, yet they're of fairly comparitve size.

In general size seems to be somewhat of an issue for our stuff. Not necesarly the actual quality of the sculpts.

Urgh. Can you guys just stop with the model wishlisting? We are not getting new sculpts now, it will be a long time untill we see new ones, and then they probably won't look like the TW models.

    Stop making me sad.

Wouldn't the small model size be advantageous for us though? I'm all for bigger stuff, but if our models are smaller, it makes it harder for the larger models to see us and get into melee. I just setup a fight for my boys (CoS DAElfs vs Stormcast) and the size difference (granted the AElfs are still on square bases) makes me almost feel sorry for the Stormcast player.

Yeah, it looks like GW went with the old "bigger is better" take when designing new sculpts after our last update (which was, what 2006 or '07? crazy!) and that 40k isn't the only one slipping into the 32mm scale. AoS did push the boundaries of the 25-28mm scale and I do believe the game is closer to 32 nowadays. Despite this, I do agree with @rychek in that this can work to our benefit!

I will say again, we don't know that. We don't KNOW anything about the state of model releases beyond the pyramid.

There is no point in getting down about it, even if we don't get any. Someone is going to like the old sculpts, and there are at least a half dozen, maybe more, companies who are filling the void of updated sculpts. Official GW resculpts would be top tier, but that's just a hope for more resources allotted to our development. Which is a good thing to have.

I would much rather prefer that they maintain consistency within the model line rather than giving us new sculpts.

From GWs perspectives the time and investment spent redoing our Saurus models could be spent on developing the core of a new faction.

I would much rather they give us a Skink on Star-Coatl as a center piece.
