You just brought to my attention that the Ripperdactyl Chief also benefits from the Blot Toad...whooooooa.... EDIT: just reread and blot toad only affects jaws, so not as cool lol
That too Imagine having a units of 12 rippers having +3 or 4 extra attacks with +1 to hit and rerolling all hits and generating extra hits on hits of 6+ and dealing extra MWs on wounds of 6+. Does that not seem good? Also keep in mind they're more durable than Terradons and are in fact cheaper
Excuse me skinks are very much not dead you can have 80 attacks with clubs 4+ 4+ on an average of 20 wounds. Use the skinks starpriests ability on that!!!! MORTAL WOUND HEAVAN. Also the shield daggers they also have 80 attacks 5+ 5+ and with mortal wounds on those that's amazing. Rippers are amazing. Terradons are great (mortal wounds only once per battle otherwise amazing), monsters amazing, saurus amazing, everything amazing and that's not taking the alliegence abilities in mind.

razordons also, sit them on objectives and have great shooting, melee, extra rend if things get close, shooting if things charge, and even negating the first 9 wounds for a unit of 12 (3 razordons 9 handles).
Fair, but u got other lizards for that I like going in with crappy units and stall the opponent for.points
So how to razordons work with unit size etc. The way I read it is 80 points nets you 3 handlers and a razordon. I don't think you can replace all handlers with razordons because then a max unit will fire 24 d6 shots which is nuts lol
Also is it safe to say we may be the new ossiarch bonereapers combining all this with alliegence abilities
Depending on what his points end up being, may finally run my Starseer as something other than a Slaan proxy. 3D6 Charge is a game changer. Kind of find it funny that we got so many things that generate CP, but now none of our Command Abilities stack. Still, you can buff a blob of warriors to high heaven with a few characters. +1 Hit, +1 Wound, 3D6 Charge, Exploding 6s to hit, MW on 6s to wound, -1 to enemy saving throws. That's all before anything that gets printed in the book. At least it some different stuff to play with.
Holy S*** guys, i just got finished reading through everything i missed since yesterday and once again HOLY $#!T. The wait was worth it! more reliable, more variety, more mortal wounds! i dont think the nay-sayers have any grasp on how great this battletome could be. we already know that we are going to get alpha striking skinks for days and drop-anywhere massive unmovable units. i dont think our board control is going to be removed as badly as everyone says and even if summoning takes the hit that we are seeing i think it was worth it in the end..
Don't forget placement. You'll struggle to put more than 6 ripper to hit at one target. Which is why Chief is important. And I am not throwing out rippers yet. They really have some potential at eating hordes with lots of attacks turn 1 or 2. It is a shame that the toad is once per battle, of course, and you can replace it with any marker. Chef+skink chief+coalesced+both priests buffs are very benifical for rippers. Not really. They are back to cheapest battleline. And you want them unless you build a saurus horde. 40 of them with priests buff can put some hurt. And with bucklers they are 5+ save, 4+ in cover. They are no more objective grabbers they used to be, but definitely not dead.
