You're right let's end it now, but as a final note Adepticon has been officialy cancelled: "Since the very first AdeptiCon, held eighteen years ago, we’ve made it clear that the highest priority, in any consideration, would always be the attendees. Over the years, we have done our best to be loyal to this principle. With our incredible staff, volunteers, organizers, and instructors, AdeptiCon has been proud to host our annual hobby celebration with a continued emphasis on creating an amazing experience for our attendees. It is with that priority in mind that we havedecided, after many hours of internal conversation and consultation with the venue, hotels, and various local authorities, that the health and well-being of our attendees and the public must come first. While we continued planning and did everything in our power to see AdeptiCon run as normal, we are now following both government guidance and our own judgement concerning the COVID-19 virus in cancelling the 2020 convention scheduled for March 25th-29th. We understand that this will impact all of you. It also impacts our exhibitors, staff, the venue, and the local community. It is not a decision we have made lightly; it is a decision based entirely on keeping people safe and healthy. It goes without saying that no one is more heartbroken about this situation than the AdeptiCon team. We look forward to seeing all of you every year, sharing our love of the hobby and revisiting friendships cultivated over years of the convention. The AdeptiCon staff is already vigorously working on details around issuing requests for credits/refunds, the handling of prepaid merchandise, badge upgrades and other related items. We will provide to our attendees and exhibitors final plans to address the unprecedented circumstances that the COVID-19 virus has thrust upon us by April 15th or sooner. Your patience is appreciated during this time as we finalize the necessary details and logistics. It is important to understand that the AdeptiCon team remains committed to this event. With your help, we will be able to return to providing you with the greatest tabletop gaming event experience around. We are very determined to see AdeptiCon return, thrive, and run long into the future. And we will remain focused, as always, on our most important priority, the attendees. Sincerely, AdeptiCon Staff “For Gamers, By Gamers”
I somehow missed it. At least cognitively. I was just giving an SCE player in our club advice who really wants terrain. So I told him to bring a treelord ancient since it is only 100 more than the penumbral engine. At which point we were both like, might as well bring a branchwraith. lol Link your list. Now I am curious.
Wonder how they will handle the reveals GW had lined up for Adepticon? Maybe they will move them to the warhammer open day (unless that get's cancelled too) or maybe they will host an online seminar of sorts.
Second post of the topic has the list I was thinking. The first one was flawed, but was the original idea. http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/scales-and-trees-the-green-menace.24336/
I'm late to the Party, anyone know the points for the Dread Saurian Edit: nevermind just used my monkey brain to find the specifically titled Dread Saurian thread
They probably won't change anything, there will be an article on WarCom same as before just the seminar during Adepticon won't happen (Maybe they will stream it )
Given what i've seen other companies do, assume every major event is cancelled but they keep churning out work even if it means people need to work on major projects from home, cuz god forbid we stop working for 5 minutes So yeah, online-only releases and no events for the near future.
Say, we have the battletome, how good is the lore shaping out to be? I m getting my copy tomorrow and would be interested in other peoples opinions
the only review getting into the lore seems to be mengel: -koatl's claw crashlanded in ghur when the skaven opened gnawholes in their ships, the only slann they have is badly wounded and has to sleep a lot - thunder lizard are settled in chamon and use realmstone to supercharge their dinos, bonereapers of the null myriads seem to be a strong nemesis in the outskirts of chamon -fangs of sotek are the ones that the most interact with the other cities, having temples in them too -the slann were caught off guard by the necroquake and the bad moon, realizing that maybe there's more to the plan than fighting chaos, some are trying to have ships landing on the bad moon seems to be very conservative, nothing excessively outlandish and many minor steps back from the original seraphon lore, I want to read it myself to see if there's any more intricate worldbuilding.
GW has released an article on the warhammer community that explains what they will do now that Adepticon has been cancelled. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/03/13/adepticon-cancelled/ They say that they will now hold some online seminars on the 28th of March and the 4th of April.
Going to get mine from the store today. ...wearing a mask ....and gloves ....and a sign that says "THE END IS NEAR"
Btw in the German Battletome it is clearly phrased that each Slann or Oracle can decide to create summoning points before casting their first spell. Which is the most logical interpretation of the English text as well IMO, although that one is less clear.
hey quick question for any german speakers here. i was helped out with my path to glory request, but i cant read understand one of the rewards. i think its +1 attack for jaws, (saurus follower reward) but google translate tells me it means "balance" like... wtf? the phrase is "nur fur saurus-gefolge, verbessere den wuchtwert der kiefer-waffen dieser einheit um 1" for which i get only for saurus, impriove the balace of jaw weapons of this unit by 1.
Feels like it. My preorder has yet to make it to my store and likely won't be in til wendesday assuming there's no FedEx shutdown here
