Hmm, I don't know personally, I'm far more attracted to good girls than bad ones.

Every TV Trope has an opposite TV trope. I too prefer good girls over bad ones at least in real life. In fiction though, villains are often more appealing. A major problem with many Star Wars iterations is that the villains are generally more interesting characters than the heroes. It's not just about sexiness. The Jedi all seem to have the same basic personalities and the Sith seem to be individuals.

You know what I've never understood about the Prequels? Basic concept: Anakin will bring balance to the force. Balance. Didn't anyone on the Jedi council think to consider what that word means? HOW many Jedi are there? HOW few Sith lords are there? Balance means the two sides should - and this is key - EQUAL OUT. What did they THINK was going to happen?

The Web Comic Darths and Droids leaned into that. In that version a lot of Jedi opposed training Anakin because they feared he would lead to the Sith ruling for thousands of years.

In that version, Obi Wan and Qui Gon pointed out the positive interpretation of bringing balance to something.

Interviews with George Lucas suggest that GL did not intend for anyone to come to the negative interpretation of "bringing balance to the Force." Apparently it did not even cross his mind until someone brought it up to him later. Remember, when the Phantom Menace was being filmed, no one questioned him on anything.

Maybe I'm sensitive to that. I've read enough fantasy and ancient mythology that I know the exact wording of a prophecy is very important.

Fun fact, in Ancient Delphi, the oracles pretended they never heard the petitioner's questions to the gods, but they set up hiding places so they could listen in to the petitioners and then they would wait till they come up with an answer to their question and phrase it in a suitable vague way open to interpretation. They were very careful with their wording.

To get back on track, your recent post of the above made me think about the Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian is generally popular and it's VERY meme-able.

I wonder if memeability is a requirement for a likeable Star Wars story or if I mistaking correlation for causation here.

Dunno what worries me more, the purple skin or the tentacles.

Either way I’m out as I’m still not at the age of consent
