The patterns on the door where nothing but pretty, though when Ilok investigated the wall he found that the star calendars above the Slann's hands could be rotated; which turned the numbers on the wall. With some skill reading the star maps from the Slann chambers he realized that the numbers needed to be rotated to today's date. Doing so caused the wall to slide aside revealing another door in the room. Ilok -3 skill
OOC( Good thing I added my skill with the last points....)) Ilok was stunned, he found the solution. But only by chance. It frustrated him. Nevertheless, they moved on into the next room. He was eager to see what this challenge brought to them. The Hunted
Hexec followed Ilok to the next room. Hopefully, the end of these tunnels would be coming. But these symbols did intrigue him. Maybe some ancient relic would be found!
Huaroc remained at the back of the group, keeping the rear guard safe from any unforseen dangers. Though he didn't believe anything would be following them he kept his wary eyes turned backwards all the same.
The door opens, to a room of metal and stone, along the ground there are patterns and symbols explaining past battles. The metal symbols are a rust colored metal and the stone a pale gray the pattens lead up a short set of steps to an altar with a banner. This banner is blood red with the same rust colored metal for the pole that holds the standard. Closer inspection reveals that the banner is a dyed leather, at the center where there is a circular pattern, there are words "Loq Gor". This room seems to have nothing else of interest in it.
Huaroc mumbled to himself..."Fierce strike..." WHen he noticed some of the other lizardmen were looking at him funny he pointed to the banner. "Loq Gor is Fierce strike or Fierice slash. One of my spawn-mates is called Loq Gor because he's renoun for his ability with a short blade rather than his balistic skills." He said, finishing with a smile on his lips as he recalled his other spawning mates giving Loq Gor a rough time for his inability to hit the broad side of a stegadon.
Ilok knew the meaning of the words, although it was pleasant to know that more people did, but he couldn't quite make up what to do with it. Maybe just strike at the banner? That would be the simplest solution. But there has got to be more, he thought. Ilok took his time to think, wandering in the room by himself. The Hunted
huaroc read the language of the old ones revealing it said fierce strike but xap was unsure as to what it meant short of him hitting something fiercly but what he was unsure the group would have to consider the words
Huaroc looked to llok. "Revered One, I'm unsure as how to proceed. Perhaps if we attempt to move the banner in some way it will trigger an event. We pray to the Old Ones that the event is a boon and not a trap." He said.
xap unsure what to do smashed the altar which the banner rested upon hoping to find something inside the altar
The alter is smashed by the mighty Kroxigor, the banner itself falls to the ground. With a clang as the post of the standard connects with the stone
Ilok picks up the rusted standard and fiercly strikes it against the rusted colloured patterns on the floor. And waits what will happen. The Hunted
When Ilok holds the standard his eyes glow red and a fierceness comes him, and then slowly the entire group, begins to feel more fierce. ((As long as a member of the party caries this banner everyone will be more effective in close combat))
((Can you still perform other actions when holding the banner? I.e. Fight? Cast spells etc.?)) Ilok wasn't sure what to do with the banner. He had never felt so strong before, but he knew that his close combat skills were still insufficient. In the meantime, he went back to the room where the other puzzle was. There was only 1 door left at this stage, so they didn't really have a choice. The door on the west would be their next obstacle. The Hunted
((acctually there are two in the other other room back where you guys where. here, easier to show you all As for the banner works like a battle standard does in warhammer))
Huaroc walked over to llok and kneeled before him, head bowed. As he rested both hands upon his upright knee he spoke softly but with conviction. "I would be honored to carry your battle standard for as long as I have breath in my body." He said.
