I'm having flashbacks to when I first drove a forklift. It didn't go that bad, but I honestly thought it was about too for a second or two.
Really? I got started on one or two of them and couldn't really get into it... Any one you would recommend I start with?
mmm... the various books of Discworld are divided into different sereies, or Storylines (some of them have common points, as the setting is the same world and some characters appear in many books… for example, DEATH). there is the Rincewind arc, Rincewind is basically a wizard with no skill, no wizardly qualifications, and no interest in heroics. City Watch: hurban fantasy, funny and inept police force that deal with magical and mundane problems, in a crazy sity. "Guards! Guards!" is the first book and I'd recommend it. DEATH series: "Mort" is the first one, and it's another good book. Witches series: basically a parody of modern occultist associations Wizards of the Unseen University: a comedic version of the academic world. Random books: "Pyramids" is a good one.
+1! They’re an unholy combination of some of the best humour and most insightful observations into humanity all rolled in to one! Definitely my favourite author - I’d recommend starting with “Guards, Guards!”
