Thanks so much for the kind words :) Means a lot that I inspire people, feels so often that I am the one being inspired! So much creativity on the forum and else where, Hope I can continue to contribute in a meaningful way for sure :)

Definitely looming forward to painting him up!

Yeah, the tree I may seamp out but I kinda like it, so...I dunno lol Nature has alp sizes of trees and I like to think its a younger tree that is still growing, most people always envision fully grown trees it seems, I hope this inspires people to look at things a little differently maybe, we shall see.

As for the unevenness of the base where the styrofoam meets the cardboard....yeah, Im unsure how itll play out and had me kind of nervous...i am tempted to level it out some but am also curious how it would look...I kight add some "rocks" to where the line is to make it look more natural....still undecided. I also have mud that I could put down where the blue is on the cardboard and just paint that as the river again instead of just the straight cardboard....

So many choices to be made....

Im just kinda obsessed with Ghur and its landscape (or how I envision it) and really just wanted to bring that to life here

I’m thinking the deeper you go the darker it gets.... now you could darkened the lower part and then try to level it down, I would probably cut the foam down a little and repaint to match up,,, once the resin is in there aren’t going back lol

Find a couple tiny fish of some kind and put them in the deeper end or a big whale... lol

Oh you could tint the resin dark blue ( probably don’t need to be too dark) pour it up to the edge or a touch above, wait a bit and finish the pour with either clear or a light tint of blue in it, I’m thinking that would blend it in, that could possibly work

Now I’ve never tried it but it say give it a go on perhaps scrap first?!

    Enjoy

I am very curious about the resin to.
Because I would like to use this on my Ealfish Harbor scenery.

Never worked with it but still not sure on how to use it correctly and how to make the under water part look realistic/great.

I was already thinking of dyeing the resin either with Aethermatic blue or maybe Sotek green....we shall see how I go about it, the dsrkess of the paint on the flooring shoulf reveal the depth well enough already, so at least there is that

    Just remember less is more

I have Vallejo water texture and put some citadel paint in it ( in 15ml dropper bottles) and didn’t use much paint I should of keep count but around 5-10 drop I think.... anyway less is more I learn that’s for sure lol.... if you look at my blog I have pictures of base I use those premix water texture it look like a big blob of paint still nice but no way you could see what’s below lol.

I wonder how the contrast paint would interact with it....

I did use Kantor blue and Caliban green...

The Saurus Oldblood is coming along nicely! Practiced some wet blending on a spare spear before applying it to his own spear and I think it came out really well, really love how the blue compliments the earth tones of his scales. Almost to the finish line now, only a few things left besides touch ups Screenshot_20200526-231520_Instagram.jpg Screenshot_20200526-231539_Instagram.jpg

Very nice result, well done. Watching this on my phone outside in the Sun, at first the scales looked all painted gold

Now I see the earthy tones your talking about

    Great painting

Love your Dinosaur conversions, especially the Thunderlizard! :) Right now I'm looking at my Dinosaur models from Papo - the Ankylosaurus would look great with a solar engine...
Do you really have 13 Carnosaurs? Or did you buy those crests at ebay?

Thank you! The Thunder Lizard is definitely my pride and joy, shes been a lot of fun to work on and very excited to see her done someday!

I have a secret...I habe zero Carnosaurs lol I have 2 Troglodons at the moment, i just got a third start Collecting box which I will finally build a Carnosaur lol the crests indeed came from a 3rd party

The anky would definitely look good with a solar engine or something! I highly suggest a repaint regardless though! If you do something please let me know!

    Great stuff (figuratively and literally)!
And rightly so - she's a great centerpiece for your army!
Yeah, I'm kinda hooked on that idea now... I never really liked the design of the Bastiladon. Why does it has to have teeth and claws? This one is definitly on my list for future projects but right now I hold on to the rule of one - only one project at a time! I get sidetracked too easily. A bunch of unfinished or unpainted projects are testament to that.

    Thank you! :)

I don't mind the Bastiladon model, though I can understand the teeth thing, I would probably prefer a different mouth myself. I think the Anky would be a natural sub also for sure. Stegadons are what bother me.... Haha

I get sidetracked pretty easy, I probably have 4 or 5 in going projects at once lol though recently I've been able to focus a bit more. Going to be starting a Fyreslayers box soon, so that'll be a fun change of pace a bit

    Please...Ive been a beardly since my 11th summer...or I guess a "peach-fuzzin" :p

I appreciate that! I have a pretty cool idea (I think!) Brewing for my Fyreslayers! They're gonna be from Ghyran and instead of the traditional reds and such I am planning to make their skin a more natural bark color and their hair being greens (maybe fall themed, unsure yet), the Magmadroth lookinh like
.well, a tree with green/autumn flame

Thsts my idea as of now lol
