    Wounds: 123

I won 2 games and lost one.
First game against Bonereapers new focal points. They had 20 kavalos 10/5/5, 30 guard 20/10, 2 lieges, 1 boneshaper, and one harvester. I really love this mission now that the added caveat of behemoths scoring additional points was added. Key units here for me were my two skink screens. The kavalos can't do much if they can't charge your heavy hitters.

Second game against Beasts of Chaos. New better part of Valor. 2 units of 40 raiders, 1 unit of 6 bullgors, 3 battleline, and a unit of 4 chariots. This game was oddly close because i didn't expect the big units of 40 to do so much damage. Hit on 4s, rr 1s and 2s, with exploding 6s. I screened my back line perfectly, but they were still able to sneak into my territory and kill one stegadon and one unit of skinks (which were the ones holding objectives). However, my thunderquaked skink chief flew over to his back field and just sort of went ham and as he brought his bullgors forward my stick buffed skinks just blew them away. Key units here were the starpriest and skink blob as that bullhorn squad would have done some serious hurt against anything but my bastiladon.

Final game was against KO. 1 big ship, one medium ship, 3 small ships, and some dudes. New Total Conquest. I chalk my loss up to not knowing how to screen against KO. I knew he could teleport but I'm used to people teleporting, maybe doing some shooting, then charging and being scary in combat. Totally skipped my mind that KO are scariest when shooting. He out dropped me and eliminated my bastiladon and stegadon turn one. Then I went and charged my steg chief into the ironclad and took something like 6 mortal wounds on the way in. (Looked through the warscroll and don't really know how I took so much damage from that). I got a good point lead early on as he focused on only one corner between our two deployments, but he was able to steal a few WITH heroes nearby to score him 3 points for those single objectives. My knights didn't do anything but capture an objective in his deployment and then died to massive shooting. Also my slann was just tired of casting spells apparently. Even with +2 to cast i didn't get a single spell off. I was tabled turn 4. Remember kids when playing against KO ask about ranges on their weapons and measure your screens well.

All in all a fun list. Its fast. Just about everything moves 8". It hits hard. Its got a 3 wave plan (knights first, skink blob second, big dinos third). Its got skink screens (we all know how important those are). If I were to change anything I might drop the battalion and kroxigor to fit in kroak(just don't have the model) and maybe another big dino (troglodon maybe?)

    Tell me your thoughts.

    I like the list!

Kroxigor are under rated, especially when in TQ-Temple Host. I think replacing the Slann with Kroak is ideal. I would honestly drop the extra CP for that. Since Kroak will generate 2.5 CP more than a Slann over the course of the game on average.

How did you find your Bastiladon preformed? It is worth changing out your Steggadon for a second Bastiladon? I rather like the Steg Crossbows, but in Thunderlizards if you have the CP the Bastiladons seem like they would preform better.

It was great having you out to the club. I caught bits and pieces of your games. You straight murdered some goatmen. Come back by soon :D

Kroxigor are wonderful, but in my games they all kinda got squished. I think they are a perfect filler if you dont want to run one salamander in a TQ. I've always loved Kroxes so I need to find their sweet spot (which is usually just behind a skink screen).

The bastiladon was super good. Honestly I don't think having two is the best idea because of how CP hungry that would be. I was always planning on keeping one CP for the skink blob (if celestial harmony didnt go off) and one CP for rr 1s to save. From there I could just spend them freely, but I was putting maybe 2 or 3 CP into 1 Bastiladon a turn and he did some good damage. Having a second would be nice because there are times when you shoot into something you're in melee with and they're left with one model and it's no Bueno to spend a cp to try and kill that one dude. I think it just comes down to preference. Stegs are more glass but bigger hammers and a CP on them is also powerful.

I loved it. Glad I could make it out and will definitely do it again. Yeah, if we are glass then goatmen are straw cause even a stiff breeze will knock them over.

Like I said I'm thinking of dropping the battalion to fit some other stuff in as I only really felt the effect once. That was when I threw my skink chief across the board turn one to take out a squad of goats. Otherwise their speed and ranges are plenty to dish out some hurt and one extra attack is great for stegs and krox; not so much bastis.

Steggies are pretty solid in combat. So I can certainly see the argument for keeping it in list.

I'm gonna start advocating 1 steg 1 basti for most thunder lizard and/or Thunderquake lists. Turn one you shoot with both. Bastiladon clearly does more damage. Opponent says "okay I need to kill that thing" and charges it. You counter punch with the clearly more melee focused Stegadon. Opponent says "well shoot."
