I did pretend to make potions as a kid. We got a small collection of small shampoos from hotel visits (because loading up on all the little soaps and shampoos is part of the hotel experience). Once one little bottle was used and empty, I noticed it had a funny shape like a potion bottle and I ended up pouring different shampoos into and mixing them. As much as I criticize people for overreacting to the CCP Virus, at this point I do not wish to even set foot in a hotel. I was squeamish about their cleanliness in the BEFORE times. The last time I stayed in a hotel was 2018. I was disappointed to see the shower had a built in wall shampoo dispenser and body wash dispenser rather than provide complimentary tiny soaps and shampoos. BOOO HISSS!!!!
I'd go with option D first to momentarily distract her and give me a chance to think of my actual excuse, then after deciding the other two options are rubbish I'd go with option C
