I am a little confuzed by the wording of this spell, can it be cast on any unit such as a stegadon, lone skink or the slann himself?
Doesn't work on characters, EOTGs, carnosaurs, or a steg taken as a skink chief mount, but everything else (including regular stegs and ancient stegs without a character) is fair game. The lore attribute when you successfully cast a life spell would work on characters though.
why it doesnt work on chars??? doesnt it say that you have to target chars seperatly? it should work on chars and mounts.
Because it says specifically down towards the bottom that regrowth cannot be used to heal characters or their mounts.
Aye, it says directly it cannot bring back characters to life. But the Lifebloom special effect restores wounds on characters, which is incredible! My Scar - Veterans have stood toe-to-toe with Dark Elf assassins because if they take a wound after my next magic phase it's probably been restored and given a +4 toughness bonus! A decked out Slann with Lore of Life in a unit of Temple Guard absolutely levels the battlefield, no matter what situation he is placed in. The Lore of Life spells put to use by someone who knows what they're doing with magic and where to cast it is an extremely hard oppenent to beat.
At the risk of threadjacking. Does the lifebooom spell reinstate the Champion with full equipment, as in magical weapon. I cannot find it directly in the BRB, but I can make a good argument as to the champion keeping his equipment.
I think your mixing things up slightly The spell is called "Regrowth", it can be used to restore D3+1 (or D6+1) wounds on to any unit that is not a character or a character's mount. My guess would be that any equipment is lost along with the champ if he dies and cannot be resurrected, but I'm not sure that has been FAQ'd The lore attribute for Life is called "Lifebloom", basically whenever you successfully cast any spell from the lore of life you can add exactly one wound to any multi-wound model within 12" of the wizard that has already suffered a wound earlier in the battle.
My understanding is that the spell very specifically says that command models are raised first? Why would it be lost if he rezes?
The vampire one does say it's raised with it's initial war gear, but the lack of banner raising makes me think no, Have to wait see if they FAQ it
Ah, thank you. I have looked at the wording againg, and the rule gives me the impression that equipment is kept. The wording of the spell is after all resurrected, reinstated and restored. That the banner is lost, is due to the fact that the bearer can never be restored. And yes, commandgroup is resurrected first.
