This is all the stuff we wanted to have in whfb. Man if only they came out with these new armies 8 years ago.
The Bonesplitterz were in Warhammer Fantasy as the Savage Orcs, but yes the new Ironjawz and now these new Bonesplitterz would have been great extras to add to the Greenskin army list.
I've got the slight hope of GW checking how popular Cathay and Kislev are in their virtual games to draw conclusions for their tabletop game. I know, it's a lot of speculation and wishful thinking, but on the other hand, they announced at least Kislev for TOW somehow. Maybe we'll get Cathay too.
Except its literally written in great detail how kislev was royally glassed by archaon and his roaming armada of misfits
I think they'd serve well as an alternative miniature line for a human-centric Cities of Sigmar army. Short of introducing a similarly-themed city from a realm other than Aqshy or Ghyran however...
all it would take is a paragraph explaining how the kingdom was thought lost, but really tsaress katarina helped her people escape underground or something. then sigmar would find them and lead them to his cities. it would be an easy retcon.
it would take more then that. the end times makes a big spectacle of having all the people being fused with the walls of the city forever alive and forever suffering, the city wasn't just destroyed it was made an example of. im not saying you couldent do it but it would take one heck of a retcon to get kislev back in AoS. ooooor GW could do what they do throw their hands up say #$%^ it it's to hard and just say that they where saved by pixies. it would be a kick to the balls for all of us who want our named heroes back or to factions like tomb kings or britonia, but they could do it
If they didn't make completely different rules for them as CoS units unrelated to kislev, it could be that the great hag or a chunk of the land itself survived, and the kislevite magic along with it. The oak of ages managed to float around in space before falling into the mortal realms, who's to say a big ol' chunk of kislev couldn't have done the same?
I mean, it wouldn't be the first souls plucked out of nowhere that somehow survived. Sigvald, most of the aelves, most of Nagash's luitenants. The retcon for most of these are just "And then their boss released their soul from it's eternal prison and now they're good again. They have horns or a snaketail now though cuz being in an eternally damned soul prison kinda sucks"
Agreed, Kislev would have been the first race to die and would have got completely kerbstomped - they’re right on the border with the Chaos Wastes so are naturally the first to be hit, and would have been attacked by the entirety of Archaon’s grand Chaos Legions. They would have been massacred. I think the one human civilisation that would have a chance of surviving the End Times would be Albion (under the assumption that they are actually a complex civilisation as the interpretation devised by myself and Matt de Witte is), because the fact it was based on a tiny island means it would have been dubbed insignificant by Archaon and co and easily ignored, and the mists created by the Truthsayers means the Chaotic forces would have little idea of the real power the island’s civilisation possessed.
Albion got fucked by mazdamundi and nakai when mazdamundi changed the entire landscape to be like lustria I thought. And if we go by how lustria is described the people of Albion would eventually die. From the elements of the forests
I don’t think they changed all of it to be like Lustria, they only got to changing part of it before Be’lakor arrived and drove them away or something. Certainly Albion wasn’t completely jungle-fied, only the area around the Forge of the Old Ones.
Slaanesh preorder reveal. A whopping 9 new units appearantly. Really hope we're going to see more updates of this scale than just Slaanesh & Lumineth...
Fyreslayers and Sylvaneth are desperate for new kits, each having only 4-5 unit choices, and they decide to give slaneesh 9 more?
Yeah, 9 for Slaanesh and at least 9 for Lumineth. Let's hope this bodes well for other armies in the future...
