    Hey guys.

I'm painting a miniature from Lost Kingdom Miniatures (the one in the example picture I've uploaded), and I'm trying to go for the dark green/black colour the scales are on the back.
I've only got Citadel paints at my disposal, and so far I've tried Eshin Grey, Skavenblight Dinge (both with a Nuln Oil wash), and Incubi Darkness (with an Agrax Earthshade wash), and none of them are yielding great results.
Do any of you have any colour suggestions, or maybe paints from other brands that could match?

Counter-shades are hard. Namely you want the back to be lit as well, but also want to use the darker color in that place. It may be best if you paint the darker color in spots like with the last crocodile pic with your main paint with black paint added (whichever black paint mixes well with other paints in GW paint range). This is basically how I would try to solve that!

Have you tried Deathguard Green and mixing a purple into it?

I have, but it's not given me much of a better result. I think I may just try black and then add a few edge highlights to see how that goes.
