Amazing job, I really love the idea of saurus on snow, very original and well executed ! Thoug, I can see what seems to be an oldblood and he is blue, will you let him in blue/greenish or will you turn it kinda white ?
Much appreciated! Once I decided to jump into AoS I for some reason figured to not only paint a 2000pt army for the first time in one go, but also to give it a unique theme, that isn't common or even done before. Thus burdening myself twice as much from the get go. And even though I really do like the classic Seraphon look, I just wanted to bring something my own and share with my now fellow Lustrians. Whether I will manage to ultimately succeed is to be seen, but it's going alright thus far. And you have a good eye, that is indeed a turquoise Oldblood, although I have yet to get to him, the idea behind him is the following: https://petapixel.com/assets/uploads/2015/04/ice4.jpg https://mymodernmet.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/archive/WxICfyJ--W7gBvYpRX1B_1082117314.jpeg We'll see if I succeed.
Ahah thanks, oO I am even more curious to see the final result now ! Good luck on this one, the idea seems really neat ! I totally understand your thoughs on 'creating something different and new'. To be honest I am also curious about the 'big guys' and what your theme could bring to them.
Yeah, I think I know how to go about painting him but I believe it will be a challenge as the technique I will be using is not something I've ever done before. But hey you grow only if you get out of your comfort zone. And regarding the "big'uns" those I have something lined up for them which i have also taken inspiration from nature, but I believe it should work. So stay tuned.
These are incredible @Marusovsky. Like, really REALLY good. You could probably make a good go of it by doing instructional videos.
Thank you very much for the high praise. I have set-aside one model, which will be the scar-vet on cold one which I will record on how to go about painting both the mount & rider in the way above. So that will happen eventually.
They look very good. I especially love the paintscheme of the Cold ones. And that banner fits them real nice. Keep up the good work. Grrr, Imrahil
Thanks a lot. One of my goals, was to try and make the cold-ones "feel" less derpy. There is not much we can do about the model itself, but with the appropriate paint-scheme they can look quite alright.
Finally finished my coldhirrim. Took longer, because I decided to change the eye colour from yellow to light blue. Also, I believe you can see the difference in quality between the green (early iteration of the Saurus Knights) and the blue (later iteration). Will now focus on finishing the remaining 20 saurus warriors, and then onto the heroes.
Thank you very much! I look forward to filming the process with the models I set aside and sharing the link with anyone who's curious like I mentioned before. A lot of work ahead.
