You might be in denial, yet the rest of the plastic, recent Greater Daemons are there in the TWIII trailer. :p

The Great Plan implies learning, something Chaos does not do. We will learn to live with them.

Also FW is squatting lots of AoS/Fantasy models. :grumpy:

Also, looking on Twitter, I got a proximity scale. The results are both glorious and scary, assuming an 80 mm base:

There's only one way I can react to all these great new pictures, and that's by quoting Captain Murphy from my favorite show Sealab 2021, "There goes my nipples again."

I am back from diving down in the depths of the dark pools known as "IVChan". I have found something really murky; we must wait for the waters of the Temples to clear this, but the preliminary survey reads as:

    • >ATRA'ZAN'S BLAZING CAVALCADE // 65€
      >DRONGON'S AETHER-RUNNERS // 65€
      >THE CELESTIAL STAMPEDE // 105€
      >THE SORROWMOURN CHOIR // 70€
      >NIGHTHAUNT KRULGHAST CRUCIATOR // 30€
      >STORMCAST ETERNALS: GARDUS STEEL SOUL // 30€
      >BE'LAKOR THE DARK MASTER // 110€
    • >Old Ones are back
      >They were in the realms before everybody else
      >Lord Kroak is the head of the Seraphon
      >Be'lacuck champions Chaos Undivided as the one true way and has the True Names of many Greater Daemons and is the 2nd most powerful army in the realms outside of Archaon

Interesting. The pricing checks out, at least I think. I just saw someone claiming to be a game store owner post on Reddit that the Seraphon BR box will be *extremely* limited and will cost $130 USD, which correlates to the Euro price there...

Which Subreddit? I'd like to ask exactly *how* limited, more because I'm on the international store: stuff here can stay for months or go in a blink. I need to know if I will have to stay overnight, have a higher APM than an asian pro gamer when ordering on the webstore, or just buy SC! Skinks and later on my herd of Steggies.

I need the math because I would like to try out a Thunder Lizard Stegageddon, so I need to calculate if go for Steggies first or Skinks first.

Damn, I'd be happy with just even one: 3 Steggies + 1 Bastie = 970 pts Thunder Lizard army!

Oh boy, it's the Sylvaneth/Necron Battleforce Crisis all over again! Just after Easter!

    How is that denial?

@Lord Agragax of Lunaxoatl is correct. The new plastic Bloodthirster was released under 8th edition (Book 5, Archaon, End Times).

Also, from what we have seen in the trailer, all those Greater Daemons could have just as easily been modeled after their Forge World counterparts. Only the Keeper of Secrets looks different.

I don't think you'll be getting your AoS Kroak model in Total War. Archaon is still using his classic sculpt in the game, and he is an more influential character than Kroak (in the eyes of most).

That's an interesting thought, but I disagree. Looking at the lore, it always seemed like the Lizardmen were one of the races (alongside the likes of the TK, Orcs, Beastmen) that were the most static in terms of not really learning or evolving. They seem the most unchanged across WFB lore. They don't create new weapons and devices like many of the other races. Take a look at Empire for example, they are constantly evolving, from Barbarians to a medieval empire with machines and literature, etc.

Chaos on the other hand boasts, Tzeentch... who in conjunction with change/magic is all about knowledge.

Yup. It would appear that they will be completely closing it down outside of 40k stuff... at least for now, we'll see what TOW brings. Although, to be honest, I wish GW handled TOW instead.

And Middle Earth stuff. GW currently releases pretty much everything that isn't a plastic remake of an existing Lord of the Rings character in Forge World resin. The new Ent character, Quickbeam, was Forge World, as will be the Lord of the Rings Dain and Thorin III that will be coming out this week. Sad as it is, at least the current plastic range has been preserved, and we get the occasional plastic remake miniature or scenery piece...

...Which I'm hoping will happen with TOW. Just because Forge World will be making models for new units, doesn't mean that GW can't bring the last renditions of plastic models for existing units from the Fantasy days back, especially as it appears they stored all the moulds in an archive rather than destroying them. Additionally it makes sense from a business perspective because it's much cheaper to start making retired models again than designing brand new moulds for the same units, especially Forge World ones, AND having a range of cheaper plastic models available for most of the factions will give new players an affordable and easy starting point into the game, giving it a popularity boost when it first arrives. Middle Earth has followed this model and is doing well, so following this model for TOW would be a wise move.

Of course none of this is guaranteed, but it's the best we can hope for.

Also what Forge World did to the Chaos Dwarfs is still a mystery to me. If TOW was going to be fully Forge World, surely they would have kept the range in anticipation of TOW, and then moving the range to the inevitable TOW slot on their website when it arrives? Of course it could be they might be simply waiting for TOW to arrive and will then rerelease the Forge World Chaos Dwarf models when it does, but I still don't think it makes that much sense because keeping the models on sale would get them some additional purchases and some extra money coming in even before TOW arrives.

    Unless...

There might be a plastic Chaos Dwarf range incoming. I know that it is extremely unlikely and it's probably a forlorn hope, but Chaos Dwarfs have a much bigger following in Fantasy than Age of Sigmar, and they'd lose a good few potential players by not including Chaos Dwarfs in some form for TOW.

Also, look at the sheer number of awful Sisters of Battle models they are churning out. Sisters of Battle for a long time were treated almost as badly as Chaos Dwarfs, and 'plastic Sisters of Battle' was a meme in the Warhammer community, as 'plastic Chaos Dwarfs' still is. Perhaps sometime down the line GW will give Chaos Dwarfs the same honours once they've got a good size range out for Sisters of Battle? I certainly hope so given Chaos Dwarfs are far more interesting than Sisters of Battle and it would be a disgusting display of favouritism if GW didn't give Chaos Dwarfs the same treatment.

yeah, for Fantasy they are just keeping a limited amount of models, around 15. Dread Saurian, Mourngul, Colossal squig... plus some dude that can fit also 40k (great unclean one, Khorne daemon prince)

I'm surprised that Forge World are still making their Greater Daemon models. I could understand it when the Greater Daemons still had their small metal models, but now that GW have made pretty darn big plastic ones the Forge World ones now seem a little unnecessary.

Eh... there is something to be said about having alternative sculpts, though outside of any requirement for GW/FW-only at tournaments/in-store, you're otherwise limited to 3rd Party in most cases.

It was on the r/seraphon sub. According to this person, his email from GW stated that most stores are going to be limited to only one box to have on hand, and the rest are for people who pre-order. He basically said if you are ordering through a local store, get your orders in now, or as soon as you can.

Yesterday was Tuesday 13rd, which, trivia: is the day of bad luck for our friends in the Iberian Peninsula, why? maybe because missing translation, and the only bad luck we got yesterday was that GW took down their painting guide for Be'lakor, maybe because it was too much Chaos for Spain to handle? Anyway, we got it today and we got to see that the Chaos Warrior or the Primaris Marine is totally optional, and yes, Be'lly is quite a big boy:

Now, probably, they took it down because of the preview for his Broken Realms book's contents:

Who are the biggest winners?: Nighthaunt, of course.

They've new subfactions like everyone else in the entire game.

Of course the next thing to note is Be'lakor having his own Undivided Chaos Daemons faction, akin to Archon's. Check the article for a bit more of details.

After this we got a few extra Bound Spells, and the Dawi got some updates too.

Seeing Fyreslayers get something is a nice surprise, and shows GW isn’t about to forget us just yet.

Interesting that they’ve chosen to give the Doomseeker and Grimwrath reworks, particularly the Grimwrath because he was a holy terror in First Edition. Maybe it’s just because they don’t fit that well in Hearthguard Berzerker spam lists and GW want to see them used more, which is a fair cop.

The Dark Master is definitely pretty crazy. One round of complete shutdown for Teclis, Kroak, or whatever other unit you don't want to do what it wants to do. This is basically a souped-up version of the Lumineth spell that does the same thing, but requires you to pass a bravery test before doing those things.
