Could you post please? I'd like to have a better image because the resolution on the photo posted here sucks.
Kroak calculated that the destruction of a Silver Tower was worth some damage to the Astromatrix and the loss of several realmgates. The gaunt summoner that was supposedly killed was the one that devised a way to suck Stormcast into the chaos alters and Kroak saw a need to stop him. Be'lakor didn't care that he threw a gaunt summoner under the Seraphon-Cosmic-Express by leaking his location. Be'lakor's plan was to destroy more Chamon realmgates to create a Chaos storm in its atmosphere that would create a 'storm dome' preventing Stormcast souls from escaping. From my understanding not all of the Chamon gates were destroyed (I believe S+B got this wrong in their summary) and aside from the Be'lakor's storm and the crater/damage from the first Silver Tower exploding, Chamon is still in one piece.
So it sounds like Be'lakor wanted to steal Stormcast souls (either out of spite or just to pay off Death) and this was his way of trapping enough Stormcast to accomplish that. Kroak believed that was a worthy sacrifice to take out the Silver Tower and its summoner and might be setting himself up for a big move. And now there's some stuff happening with the dwarfs too.
Both I think. Lady Olynder appears to have cursed Be'lakor when he banished her in Wrath of the Everchosen. He also seems vindictive against the semi-immortality of the Stormcast Eternals, likely because Sigmar offers an alternate type of immortality then the one Be'lakor damned himself to.
Celestial stampede - nothing connected to trampling/charging. Get a lame d3 one shot shot for 160pts... I'm afraid Kroak will be nerfed with more points and ripped of some abilities. I just bought a Balewind and I won't be able to use it! The BR stories seem boring so far with a rather one side on who is the winner at the end
Even through i agree that it's not that what i hoped for aswell, i think it's not that bad and might see some use. Like you get 3d3 MWs on an enemy character within 24", the bastiladon can still shoot, and most importantly you get another CP, artefact AND Prime Warbeast, which is just amazing on Stegadons. So yes, they will change Lord Kroaks profile but i don't think they will make him worse, just different.
Really belakor? You're scared of grombindal? You just took the fight to all the realms and destroyed the realm gates yet a fucking dwarf with a white beard scares you.
Whelp I just bought the Celestial Stampede. Mediocre rules be damned I saved 60 bucks for models that I was going to get anyways.
i wish i could say the same, but i already got two bastiladons. have fun with the spooky scary scalys and maybe there will be like a two drop Thunderlizard List with two Battalions xD
I'm almost certain another box set is coming out with a basti at some point. Maybe a battleforce box? If i do get a third ill either sell the sprues or comission paint it.
I'm definitely going to experiment with a Thunderquake + Celestial Stampede list at some point. The 3d3 mortals once per day is rather disappointing, but honestly getting a second Prime Warbeast dino is pretty awesome. Also, I believe it's 140 points and does not prevent you from shooting the Bastiladon that turn, only from rolling the Engine of the Gods and double-shooting a Bastiladon that round.
Had to give him something to make him worth the points. They gave his old version of that ability to the Lumineth, so I'm not surprised that they changed it here.
Don't worry, Spanish is very close to Italian. What I don't get from this photo I'd take from the other. Now, as a parallel question. This battalion tells you that units have the Thunder Lizard keywords, just like the Underworld Warband, but does it prevent you from taking them in a Starborne/KC list? It could be interesting to have a KC Carnosaur in Sunclaw and a Prime Warbeast around there.
It says they must have, not that they get, so I'm pretty sure it is saying it can only be taken by a Thunder Lizard list. Like how most of our battalions can only be taken by a Coalesced or Starborne army.
Yeah, most of, if not all the Broken Realms battalions are locked to a specific sub-faction. So this one can only be taken in Thunder Lizards. Also, I was trying to calculate on Warscroll Builder and I don't think there's any way to run both a Celestial Stampede and a Thunderquake Temple-Host, so no two-drop armies unfortunately.
You can use a different battalion, though I would very much rather be able to take TQ and this if I was to try and get a two drop.... this is 860-870 with a regular Steg and Basti? A TQ with Chief, two stegs and 1 Salamander is 990.... so, you can do it. That's 1850-1860. Enough for another Salamander even. Could be even cheaper if you went Raxordons,
Since a Thunder Lizard list is likely to have these models anyway, you ask yourself "Am I willing to pay 90 points for a T1 mortal wound bomb, a relic, and second Prime Warbeast?" (90, because the CP costs 50) It kinda sounds nice to me. I'm gonna try it. Maybe a Stegadon and Carnosaur Prime Warbeast pair. Or just twin Skink Chief Stegadon Prime Warbeasts. That sounds spicy
