Space marines are a terrible framework. The biggest problem with space marines is the refusal to kill off named characters. MAC, Dante, Gabriel seth, abbadon a lot of space wolves and a shitload of ultras all should be dead.
You're in an AOS forum for the seraphon faction arguing about AOS vs 40k. Quite frankly I don't have to be nice about this. Go to the great 40k thread if you want to talk about and discuss 40k. Not the rumor sub if you need the link I can give it to you
Because he gives all of them a piece of himself, and equips them with armor forged from the solid core of the world that was, partially. the other part is that their nature as uncorruptable isn’t any innate bit of their physiology or something, it’s because they’re selected based on being a good person. It doesn’t matter if they were a warrior in life, the philosophy at play is that combat prowess can be trained but innate personality can’t be. Space marines are limited by law and a single resource they have to keep and harvest from their dead, stormcast are similarly limited but only by the strength of character necessary to make one. A baker who aims to keeps his community fed above all, a doctor who works themselves to the bone to help people, there’s a limited amount of people who’re as innately good as Sigmar desires. That’s why they’re interesting compared to space marines imo, they’re defined by who they used to be and their humanity, so each reforging loses an intricate piece of their being, the further they go from their humanity the further they go from the person who deserved to be reforged
Indeed. There are plenty (well, at least some) official short stories, where you can clearly see that every time a stormcast is reforged, he loses a part of his old humanity, to the point they become dangerously similar to a crossover between Robocop and Judge Dredd.
I think whenever nighthaunt get updated, that they will get a new unit made from the captured stormcast souls
Thats part of why Kroak reviving Gardus was one of my favorite parts in the Belakor story. Sigmar chooses to reforge these people and in the process loses part of their humanity and kroak did it with just a thought.
You're living in a different reality lol. You're just wrong. The saurus need updating way more than the kroxigors.
Saurus' model was really good, and it's still not bad. Alas, it was made with the old rank & files system, so the pose is pretty static.
I don't really mind either of the two. But Krox are still finecast so they go first. Together with new rules because last I played them they still sucked.
Well...this is really heartbreaking. I was hoping that lizard meant more for us, especially after seeing kroak. Why is it even on this model? So disappointing. It's probably symbolic of Kragnos smacking down lizardmen in the new book...
Agreed, very small face. The open mouth option sort of looks like a Sarlacc pit from the front (on the pictures)
Wasn't he "imprisoned" by Kroak? But yeah, in his portfolio there's literally no connection to lizards
Yeah my first thought when I saw the model was "he looks really cool...but the face is pretty derpzone"
