Curious what any of you think of this guy. I'm generally going with a slightly more "real life" feel for my Dinos. Trying anyhow. So this is Lost Kingdom Minis Dilophosaurus, but, replacing the tail (which curls up originally) with a One-Page Mini tail I like... and more importantly replacing the head and feet with a solid T-Rex model I bought. (Original T-Rex in background) The overall model will notably be 10-15% larger than the Diloph, and be about 180mm long. Thoughts? Is the head scaled too large?
Looking very nice to me, the head does not seems too scaled. Love the result and can't wait to see it printed and painted !
AS you can see, most of the construction is now complete... I have to wait for the mail to deliver me an appropriately sized base. As stated previously the Rex is a combo of a unique model I bought on CGTrader.com, Lost Kingdom's Dilophosaurus, and OnePageRule's Raptor Rider (tail). The back of the chair was made using OnePageRule's own Carnosaur chair piece, with added tusks, skulls, from the freebie Carnosaur available on Thingiverse. The very top, is a Lost Kingdom Mini standard, with some bits clipped off. Additionally, I managed to digitally detach a feather crest from OnePageRule's Gecko Priest, and print that as both a component for the Saurus Rider's headdress, as well as larger shoulder mounted versions for the TRex. The Rider then uses the OnePageRule's spear for their Carnosaur rider, one of their Templeguard Heads, shieldarm, but then uses a tail from Raventwin Miniatures and a Lost Kingdom Miniature torso/leggs/etc. Not pictured here are the ruined/stone columns and various plants and things I've printed in preparation for the base... and while I've worked on this, I've printed/constructed 10 Temple Guard, and a giant frog (not a Slann, but might use as a familiar or such). I'll post again probably when the Base is built out and the whole thing has been primed. PS: My only complaint about the Trex is the small teeth., but I'll get over it!
