    once per wizard? was that how it was pre-2nd ed? That seems pretty strong if you consider a double comets call option... could "buff" troglodon usage...

    The Warsong Revenant did get access to all the Sylvaneth spells which is why I thought a trend might be emerging for upper level wizards. It is, however, the exception to the rule at the moment.

    I had hoped Alarielle's Lifebloom would also restore single wound models in the event of their being no allocated wounds on a unit, as currently it only affects Hunters, Treepeople and heroes. Tree-Revenants and Spite-Revenants could probably use the buff.

    See, this is a decent update. Virtually all of her abilities have been buffed or streamlined. Admittadly no major changes, but at least there's more going on than with Kroak's update..

    Talon of the dwindling seems like it'd be annoying though. Either no damage or you instantly murder the opponent.

    I doubt it we'l go back to that. If the old system was bad cuz people started spamming arcane bolt just imagine how bad it'l get with multiple comets calls on top of our already powerfull magic output.

    Admittadly, maybe they'l change some of the problematic spells in which case it could work. Would definitly open up some interesting builds, especially surrounding multiple weaker support spells (e.g. casting mystic shield on multiple units so your entire frontline is covered instead of just 1 out of 4 units)

    bad news all. look out sir has changed it now only effects models with less then 10 wounds. this means kroak is no longer eligible

    As if shooting wasn't already the easiest (and really only) way to kill him anyway :p

    This hits a lot of big characters that aren't monsters. I'll reserve judgment until I see the full context of the new rules, but I don't like the idea of shooting characters being any easier than it already is

    This is actually not bad to see. Reference numbers means there's likely a glossary.

    Well its a lot easier to reference things. Though it makes me wonder what happened with the whole "all the rules need to fit on a page" mindset. I mean we're already at 4 subsections for something simple like shooting.

    As a sidenote, why can I choose not to shoot. Seems odd to make that work differently from attacking

    I assume it's because you can probably tell a soldier to hold their fire, but it's a lot harder to tell them not to fight back when they are in melee with an orc swinging an axe at their face :p

    I mean sure realisticly. But for game balance it seems odd, it's just a random advantage to shooting based armies. It seems unnecessary to include this distinction.

    In the latest rules leak look out sir only effects heros with 10 wounds or less. Meaning new kroak no longer gets -1 to hit from look out sir. Another debuff. As the meta shifts more and more towards ranged fights we will have to be more and more careful of kroak.

    There are going to be armies that can not deal 8-9 wounds to him in a single phase and he will seem god like and unkillable. Then we will have armies that can and will and he will go down easy...

    His command ability already gives a -1 to shooting. And if negs and buffs are capped, it is what it is. I wouldn't honestly call that a nerf to Kroak though. We've already got the tools to mitigate the change.

    I would guess this has something to do with the reactive actions units will get. There is probably a rule that says if models haven’t shot yet, they can shoot in response to a charge or something.
