Although we've all been memeing the "Watertight" rules quote...this is pretty damn good for formatting and detail.
Lore spells from the core book, not the battletome. Kinda sucks but not bad as I thought you'd meant.
That's just more confusing... On a sidenote, how many enhancements are supposed to be normal? They no longer list a base level of 1 general trait & 1 artifact + 1 per battalion. Is this put in the battlepacks? Why are the battlepacks seperate from the core rules? The formatting is decent, but I can't help feeling like there's stuff missing. Like the battlepacks, why isn't that explained in here. Also, so much for having the rules fit on 1-2 pages. Now we need an entire book of 44 pages. Though it's not the worst they've made I guess
-.- Our basti has lost ignore rend without wounds, section 22.2.1 "Modifiers will never reduce an attribute below 0", was 1 before -.-
Ah, somehow managed to gloss over that one line. Expected it to be in it's own subsection. Or at least for the number to be in bold.
This is incorrect. Rend modifies the dice roll, not the characteristic. Refer to 13.3, step 3. Characteristics could never be less than 0, but could reach zero before, if I recall. Dice rolls could never be modified bellow 1. I don't see that having changed anywhere.
Just in case You have to give them your address to download it and you might not be signed up to the newsletter. Maybe I'm getting cynical in my old age...
I guess I'm not worried about skinks anymore. Stacking Curse and Serpent Staff is going to be disgusting. On Knights too, for that matter
Maybe, though you can get the link without signing up for the newsletter. I know because I didn't check the box and got the link.
So you can stack buffs to overcome negatives, you just can't end up with more then a plus one. I can see this being something you do occasionally if facing something with a lot of rend. Use mystic shield and all-out-defense to offset 2 points of rend.
Knights suffer from not being able to trigger both Curse's mortals and the Scar Vet's exploding six's CA. Mortals is still probably better but its a little bit more of a choice. And don't potentially need to spend an enhancement on it.
Reckon you could just use All Out Attack or Wrath of the Seraphon instead, since it maths out the same Super tasty...
Speaking of (most) Saurus not having a way to hit on 2s anymore, I wonder if people might prefer to start bringing blocks of 10 Guard rather than 20-30 Warriors...
Which won't be able to get into range effectively. Honeycombing may help though, but why not just take knights? You still can effectively get like 8 into combat and you don't really need any more.
