So after months of collecting and building my army and even participating in a campaign (on going) I've finally gotten around to painting my lizardmen! I've decided to limit the pallett to pure greens and then further limit each unit type to just three shades of green. Namely this is skin, scales and scar tissue. While there are other colors for shading and high lighting I've tried to reduce the variation of color for the most part. I've also limited the metalic colors to just bronze and shining gold. I've also modeled nearly all my models to have scars to look like they're an army that has been on the move and at war for a number of years.

I'd appreciate feedback, positive and constructive. Thanks!

Can you post pictures on the actual thread please, if you don't know how to, look at asrodig's tutorial. I don't have a facebook account so can't see your pictures.

I can try later tonight, unfortunately our comp techs at work have blocked photobucket's website so I can't post there. I'll see what I can do at home.

Not sure if this'll work, but it's worth a shot I figure.

The main body. I like to paint weapon arms and shields seperate and then glue them together after clear coating them.

The spear. I haven't applied the gloss 'ard coat yet which should give it some shine so it looks more like obsidian.

The shield is painted to represent the coloration I'm giving Cold Ones.

Sorry, still not working. Try using TinyPic, you don't need to register, and it's very quick and easy. Just follow the Posting Images Tutorial.
