I did see a news report on how they are unable to effectively use most of the military hardware they stole. That's still precious little comfort. They shouldn't have got anything. If the US military couldn't evacuate all the equipment they should have blown up what they couldn't carry.
That was a big deal in WWII at least. Everytime the Axis powers conquered somewhere, at the last minute the defeated nations would sink their warships and blow up their remaining armories. The Soviets set fire to their supplies. When the Allies turned the tables, the Axis powers sabotaged any supplies and weapons they couldn't take with them. This happened in the Bronze Age with weapons and armor being dumped into the sea.
They did manage to fly around in one of the military helicopters. As for the more sophisticated stuff, like the drones left behind, I'm sure they will simply sell that stuff to someone like Russia or China; either of whom can make use of it (either to reverse engineer it or exploit weaknesses in the future).
I hadn't even mahrlect thought of them selling it! That's far worse than than the Taliban trying to use it themselves. I bet oranges were named before carrots...
