Hey guys! Nice posting here again! Well I took my sweet time painting my new project. I had to take a break from painting after my Saurus Knights that sucked all my energy for a month. If you read my previous article, you know I had a Stegadon box as my next project. But, I got hooked by Warhammer Total War II and instead of painting Seraphon, I played Lizardmen on the video game! It was a blast but ultimately I had to come back to the brushes! Painting huge beasts like this is always daunting, especially "living creatures". It's not the same as painting vehicles like I was used to for my Harlequins. Even though I know my way around freehand (damn you diamond patterns!), painting beasts is a different thing because there's no beginning or end. And needless to say, i used A LOT of sub assemblies. I also messed up priming step because I did not know how to use my rattlecans anymore and got even more delayed. Buuut, I loved every second of the painting process, these models and the skinks on it bring me so much joy. Here is the big guy, and the tiny blue lizards on top of it fooling around, pretending to know how to use the golden device. Let's face it, we have the best models. Cheers !
Wow!!!! Awesome painting! I love the bleeding effect on the horns and the highlighting of the scales. Almost like they are jewels.
