Bought my wife some kindle books on Warhammer Fantasy as part of the overall strategy to get her hooked on the game.

They should... Citadel miniatures ARE GW miniatures, just from an older era...

Hobgoblins? Which Hobgoblins? Inquiring minds wish to know!

Seriously, I've been resisting the urge to do a bunch of weird conversions to make my own, up to and including mounting Fireforge Mongols on giant wolves...

The ones I've been working on (inside the spoiler tag) in my painting blog and hobby blog. I'm using the Mantic Games goblin models to represent them.

    Sounds cool!

I second that, given Fireforge models are likely going to be slightly shorter than GW humans I can see them being suitable as Hobgoblins, and their Mongol Cavalry kit gives you some rider legs and torsos to work with straight out of the box. You could also use the Steppe Infantry kit as Hobgoblin Cutthroats (I've already advocated their use as proxy Lake-Town Militia for the Middle-Earth Strategy Battle game - I simply love the variety and interchangeability of plastic kits around nowadays!)

I take it you're going to be using GW's Fenrisian Wolves that everyone loves to kitbash?

Finished everything bar the base of my first K’Daai Fireborn and started on the second. Surprisingly, I actually like how I’m painting.

Yep, I noticed when I took part a few years back, one entry was a board filled with Epic wargame tanks. Feels like a great way of showing the past history of miniatures, including games that don't get touched upon now like the Epic 40K.
Will be fun pulling out the Biovores again cause the size difference.

That was the idea, yes. Not a lot of sources for wolves in the right size that cost less than those, anyway.

Found this yesterday. My first ever diorama from early 80's. Modified an orc weird boy and a snotling pooping in an orc helmet. Gloss varnish because there was no such thing as matte varnish back then....
