    Wow now that's quite a collection. Very very nice. Cant have enough of those 'roided cats either lol. Must have taken you a considerable amount of time to amass and paint all that. If I had a top hat, I would doff it in your general direction!

    They're my Thundercats ;)

    Can't take credit for painting. You're looking at years of painstaking Ebay work there. Still love the little kitties.

    It's encouraging to see someone else who is also primarily motivated by big beasties! I think that's why I went for the Lizards in the first place. Keep up the good work.

    Ah, well these weren't exactly a planned acquisition, I think I'm keeping to the BCR sub faction for now as that's where the appeal is. In terms of adding non BCR, I've only had one demo game of AoS a couple of years back. While I clearly recall loving it, I don't yet understand how that would effect allegiance/synergy

    If I could splash in non BCR then adding some ranged support via an Ironblaster or two may be fun and remain in-theme .

    (You can probably tell i'm likely more of a "fluffy" player rather than meta/competitive)

    Which is fine. I'm very much for projects spawned of lore reasons!

    Whether it will be remotely effective is another thing :confused:

    Making something your own, and creating stories from the battles, rather than focusing on wins/losses, is what counts IMO.

    Hey, listen. You're doing the hobby for FUN. Whatever it is that gives you this (painting, collecting, battles, making wacked-out army lists and seeing what happens when you play them (me), etc.) is what you SHOULD DO IN THE HOBBY.

    Have a blast mate.

    There is no "Should". "Should" as a concept is a negative, blaming word. You either do or you don't, and if you don't thats great too because you are doing what you want to do.

    @Lord-Marcus & @Lizards of Renown

    Hi guys, appreciating what is very affirming, and most importantly positive support of the personal hobby. I can see you both mean well and are approaching the matter from very similar spaces regardless. No one wants to spend a lot of money on models to find what is in their minds eye not quite equating the same way on the table - you want and hope to see it work in some way.

    OMT as a whole is very interesting. Their range isn't as vast as others however there's so much variety (and theatre) in what they do have.

    I'll probably do what most semi-sane individuals would do. Get this initial batch of BCR game ready then use proxy's or paper cut-outs to try the rules of other models :). I need to carry on walking before I start running though....I tend to trip a lot :D

    Been a short while, but these past few days have had me in the zone for some chilled out painting. Slowly but surely progress is being made and I am also getting in more practice with the airbrush, scooting through the ogor flesh base coats. ABing is definitely is a long term process of narrowing down the variables for a smoother experience but I feel this came out well.

    The white fur for the mournfangs specifically were a learning process. You give it a typical drybrush and you'll catch the edges of the fur, definitely, but the moulding of these leave a lot of small deep recesses forcing through a lot of the grey base coat. So you don't get that mostly powdery white look you see on the box. In the end I had to give them a couple more -very- aggressive drbrush passes to force the white in a little further so the colour balance and over all look were tipped closer to white.

    Its definitely coming together, so far looking exactly how it is meant to (or close enough) so I'm happy!
