So basically, I'm in the process of converting Nakai the Wanderer out of a plastic demon prince. For the almost shell-like spiky scales that a Kroxigor has on its back, I attached the back part of the scaly stegadon top to his back, after which I filled in the space with green stuff. Then, I covered all of his chaos markings with green stuff. For the head, I'm going to use a Dark Elf cold one head. I am going to model scales on the tops of his thighs, and for his weapon, I'm going to take the Temple Guard standard and two saurus regiment standards and attach them together like a mace. I'll post pictures when he's done. So what do you guys think?
Sounds like a fun conversion... Ps. I was just thinking that those looked like lizard men legs as well.
Wow, I didn't expect to get such a great response! Awesome! I'll post pics ASAP, since I'm almost done with the conversion part and am almost to painting. I don't think I did as good of a job as I could have, but I'm still really proud at how it turned out. Right-o, gotta get me some pics!
Can't wait to see it!! Have you adorned him with Lustrian treasures and stuff? In the 2003 Lizardman book it said that skinks hammer gold and whatnot into his scales before a battle. I'm also debating what head to use. I'm tempted to try and get a new Kroxigor head, depending on whether they're separate from the torso or not or a Lizardman cold one head, but I don't want him to look stupid. (All the new cold ones have a slightly vacant expression). I am tempted to use a Dark Elf one, but I don't want to mutilate the neck too badly. How did you do it? Another option was a carnosaur head, but I'm not sure if its too big or not. I really need to wait till the daemon arrives.
Well, Tepoksthirdeye, a carnosaur head is probably out of the question, since its attached to the body. Anyway, I think I am just about done with him, including painting, so I'll have pictures up ASAP!
