Wow. Did not know Playmobil did an arena/Colleseum set. Yeah, that sure does look like they used that and repainted it...

As @Killer Angel says, indeed Playmobil did make a coliseum back when they had reached their peak in the late 2000s, as well as an Egyptian Pyramid and temple and a Viking fort. I was at just the right age to appreciate how awesome their Viking, Roman and Egyptian ranges were and have the Longship, Trireme and Kebenit from those ranges along with a good few of their soldier figures from those three periods and have fond memories of playing three-way battles between those factions over some terrain they once made.

Please wait while I have a childhood nostalgia overload...

Mordheim in my area is still alive and kicking.

Double battle, with two tables and the same scenario: a Wyvern's nest (with beast and treasure) at the center of the board,

Looking great! My stupid brain looked at this and thought "where is the rest of it?" Then I remembered it's Mordheim and you don't need the entire table. Too many big table games and not enough city of the damned.

Not the most flattering of homages :hungover: but that is a well painted Bretonnian lion! :D

I am a sustaining member of the society of creative anachronism. I love heraldry. I enjoyed the process of creating a blazon for my persona in society.

Even I think painting a ful heraldic display on every knight is masochistic.

Especially since each knight theoretically has their own heraldry. So EVERY model would be unique...

    Scary.

I based my generals heraldry on my Grandfather's and then used parts of it to show the colors for the men at arms and household knights. Even with this help the heraldry mostly broke me. I always applaud those who can show unique work as they had in the older army books. The artist who do this for Warmaster are truly inspiring!

    It's not theoretical, it's correct.

The only ones who would be "uniformed" and even then the only heraldry they have would be shields, would be serf units indentured to a particular knight.

If brets, or a facet of them, came back to AOS I'd want limited number, extremely powerful cavalry, with hordes of peasants. Moreso than old bretonnia.

As someone who grew up in England where Knighthood was born, I'm totally tracking that it's correct. Someone could paint their army differently though and flout convention! ;)

Interesting idea on the hordes of peasants. I guess we'll see what they do with TOW, eh?
