Ok well you got good blcoks of saurus and salamanders, but no flanking power, you will never be able to flank, and when facing an army wiht more units(or flanking units) you'll get flank charged and there's nothing you can do about it. Perhaps add in a skrox unit or a some small skink cohort units to protect the flanks, to get points for this, I would change your oldblood to a scar-vet and lower the saurus to 18(6x3 formation is good) that still leaves you with incredibly good combat blocks for this points level, and then drop 1 sallie or the skink priest then you'll have enough points.

The Old blood i believe is a great choice seeing as I will be challenging like crazy with him. With a plus one to hit and a minus 1 to be hit makes him pretty tricky, not to mention the 2+ armor save and 5 attacks. The scar-vet doesn't have that sort of pack in his punch.
As for the Skrox unit, well I have never had much luck with them. The kroxigors do their job no problem but those darn skinks stink so bad. Losing 5 or more a turn is a lose and to no fault of the kroxigors. Perhaps I will try them again and hope for better results.
I truly hate running Saurus 6 wide. Ranks rule in 8th and spreading out an expensive unit like that seems a darn same. Getting those extra 2 attacks cannot compare to negating an enemy's steadfast and rank bonus to a combat. It also makes them less maneuverable in my opinion, and getting all 6 into the combat is not a sure thing either. Besides with more ranks I will get more attacks on the flank if it happens. With the new reform rules at the end of combat turning and fighting them becomes an option. Also depending on the scenario I hopefully will be able to deploy with a table edge to one of my flanks.
Perhaps if I drop the Saurus down to 17 each and deploy 5 chamos to the field, think that would help?

Well the rules for the tournament came out recently and I am not allowed to use lords or rares, so that drastically changes my list. I now have it standing like this.

    Saurus Scar Vet
    -Burning Blade of Chotec
    -Gambler's Armor
    -Luckstone
    -Iron Curse Icon

    Skink Priest
    -Dispel Scroll
    -Seed of Regeneration

    19 Saurus
    -Hw and Shield
    -Standard and Musician

    20 Saurus
    -Hw and Shield
    -Standard and Musician

    20 Saurus
    -Hw and Shield
    -Standard and Musician

    5 Chameleon Skinks

I figure show them the brute force of the lizardmen with a little magic defense and chamos to knock out the war machines or single pesky wizards.
