    Okay, I def agree that it is too long. They could have knocked it down into one movie easily, or two shorter ones.

    As for the goofy stuff, the Legolas stuff was unnecessary (clearly they included him to attract female viewers), the Goblin King stuff was overdone, but I liked a lot of the barrel stuff. Mind you, they could have made that a LOT shorter...
