Thank you It is not original idea, I saw it on web some time ago so I figured plenty of people are doing it.
Early bird gets the worm I sneaked out of bedroom at 5:30 AM to work on Solar Engine. My first one is ready to varnish.
Well... it's been fun to paint all that infantry and easy dino. Let's go back to suffering This time Chief skink on stegadon
I managed to get hold of some nice scale stamps for future converting / greenstuffing. Better half bought lychee fruit that was confiscated in name of Old Ones
I pressed them into oyumaru (blue stuff), so there is no expiration date. In fact, that oyumaru was reused from mold for necromunda base I made a out 4 years ago
I wanted to paint yesterday morning, but woke up just 13 minutes before Them But I had my hobbying time today. I just need to paint steel circles for howdahs and rest is ready.
Progress from today early morning: Crew is finished. I have hour time window now, so it is time to paint howdahs. Hopefully two more sessions and I can glue it all together.
Tis the time of a year again. Merry Christmas to you all! In spirit of holidays, I would like to at least share my new paint scheme tester. So download, print and try it out. Sorry for crumbled paper and occasio al fingerprint, kiddo helped (or should I say kiddo did the work and I helped).
Two sessions came and went. And twice I repainted base of howdahs, because speedpaints were too splochy (if that is even a word ) At last, I settled on metal primer and I'll be just staining it with a wash.
Oof. I still need to pin dino to base and pin crew, but that is just half hour job (that I don't have today).
Happy new year to all of you! I am returning to office tomorrow, so there will be some small minis at least partially painted, but overall, January will be mostly about doctor appointments and that means home offices where I will not be able to paint. Considering that, I decided that I prepare few minis in advance, so I don't spend unnecessary time during lunchbreaks priming.
14°C outside and reasonably calm wind, so I negotiated some time for volume III of "The Great Varnishing of 2023". It's about time I finally finish that carnosaur as it was first seraphon model I've ever glued together. When those are finished, it will leave me with 37 non-varnished models. Edit: I managed volume IV as well. Only 10 warriors and astrolith bearer non-varnished. Here are those happy few drying on balcony.
Well... that didn´t age well I took skinks to work and realised that my day will be really split into many small breaks instead of functional lunch break. So no painting for me today, but during those breaks I at least glued and based third unit of warriors together. And you know what? My drawer with hobby supplies is not full of warrior bits to assemble for the first time in 3 months
Abother day, another skinks I decided that third unit will be red. I am not sold on green membranes, but color wheel told me to do it.
Great paintjob, love the detailed eyes. The Red looks cool, but I agree on the green. Perhaps a more beige/bony color might work good Grrr, !mrahil
You are right, I'll keep that in mind next time. First plan was to use orange, but triadic color wheel told me to use red as primary color and dark green and dark blue as secondary colors. Well... Sometimes we have to reach dead end to say that at least we tried.
