I made some preparations for tonight's game night in the last couple of days. Starting a new campaign in more of a DnD story style. Starting with a single character and set for an adventure... I will be de 'GM' for this... hope it will be fun Grrr, !mrahil
Thanks! Let's just say this will have to be just February, to be able to finish all of what I still have laying around I will soon take a picture of all that I want to have finished Grrr, !mrahil
Thanks I like it a lot myself as well. The primer is just a DIY shop light grey matt spray I find it works great for brightening the colors that you apply over it. Grrr, !mrahil
Game Night New campaign: Part 1 Location: Farmers village in the East of Rohan We meet Bertrand Himgard at the farm of his family, his mother passed away when he was little. Together with his father and younger sister they own a little field of wheat and a simple house in a small village. Early in the morning his father and younger sister set out to sell the land's upbringing in a neighboring village. His father set Bertrand the task to watch over the house and the land in his absents. During the day a pumpkin farmer passed by and was overrun by orcs on the road just outside of the village. The sound of a skirmish alarmed Bertrand and several neighbors. The start of the first scenario. Based on the scenario Rescue from Battle Companies: The things I changed were: - The Defender's Hero was the cart with Pumpkins and 4 warriors(farmer and traveling company) And - The Goal for the Attacking Orcs was to overrun the farmer and the village, slaying everyone they could find. The battle was heavily focused on the traveling company and the orcs managed to take them out in the third turn. Bertrand and the villagers weren't able to reach the battle in time to help in any sort of way. The archers killed of two Orcs and a total of 6 Orcs were killed(also 2 from friendly fire), but in the end the Orcs won the scenario. Aftermath: Bertrand got an Old Battle Wound (at the start of each scenario roll a D6 on a 1 the Hero does not participate), because Bertrand is the main character of the campaign we decided: on the roll of a 1 his movement is reduced to 5" for this scenario. Part 2 Location: The North East lands of Rohan, along the Anduin river. Bertrand and a few men were driven away from their village. As they saw the smoke rise above it their houses and fields they fled north over the planes. Because Bertrand was raised in a rural village he had learned to work on the land, but also to hunt and set traps to provide the family with fresh meat. His survival instinct sharpened now that his home was no more. On their escape nordward they set several traps to slow down the pursuers. Second Scenario: Based on a scenario from the Scouring of the Shire: Changes made to the scenario are: - Instead of the Hobbits: Bertrand and 3 warriors of Rohan(2 with bow and one with throwing spear and shield) - Instead of the Ruffians: 10 Orcs (2 with bow, 3 with shield, 3 with spear and 2 with two-handed weapon) - The defenders had 12 Trap counters (2 Snare, 2 Tripwire, 2 Pitfalls and 6 blanks) Starting at opposite ends of the table there wasn’t much happening in the first two turns. Bertrand and his band of merry men couldn’t move up much, or they would render the traps useless. The Orcs marched forward, but firing arrows isn’t a good orc habit. From turn three the Rohan archers could aim and did gain a kill. And again in one of the later turns. The Orc forces marching even further encountered the first traps. One found himself hanging in a snare in the tree and one fell down a pit. both managed to free themselves in the following turn, not delaying too much. Drawing in closer one of the Orc archers sniped a Rohan archer before joining his fellow Orcs in combat. The combat saw another Orc and warrior of Rohan fall in battle. In the end the remaining Orcs moved towards the board edge to further conquer the lands leaving the two men of Rohan as victims of their courage. Both failed their test and fled the battlefield. Aftermath: Bertrand has made his first kill and with the two experience points for two participated battles is sitting on three points. Just two more for a level up and possible better stats or gear(when he will come across a shop or blacksmith) Grrr, !mrahil
