Oh, I meant a new Saurus hero packaged with the existing Carnosaur (who doesn't need a new model imho, current one is sweet)
Anyone up for some healthy speculation? Mainly since I can't find any rumours of what else we'll get/ - Saurus kit will be a dual kit: Warriors and Guard, with armored bits for the Guard similar to the bits you can glue in the Carnosaur kit - Kroxigor, based on the latest rumour engine - New Behemoth (Maybe we finally see a Sauropod) - Plastic Dread Saurian? Probably a bit farfetched - Knights updated to match the new Saurus - Named Character: Likely Gor-Rok, I'm hoping for Kroq-Gar ascended or Nakai - Dual Salamander/Razordon kit Anything you guys would like to see? I'm hoping we can get Ancient Kroxigor, or be able to build with Gauntlets like in TWW2
I think this is a pretty good guess, though a plastic Dread seems unlikely to me. I'm betting on Ascendant Kroq-Gar as well. He would be a natural choice for AoS seeing as I'm pretty sure he survived End Times, and even if he didn't we now know Kroak can remember dead lizards back into existence. Let me double down and suggest that Kroq-Gar will be a dual kit with a new behemoth. Some kind of big predator as a middle-ground between the Dread and Carnosaurs. Might be wishful thinking but I'm riding this hype train until proven otherwise!
Hey! id go for all of them but, doubtful. the stream guy said what we've seen (3 sets) isnt even half, so lets assume...7 or 8 sets? He said Seraphon will be the most spoiled in the coming year in terms of overall sets. I think the following are gauranteed. * kroxigor - ignore the dispute on the rumor image; i'd expect this is coming BUT it would be great if Nakai could be made from this set. I dont see Nakai, if he has rules, getting his own boxed set the way Kroak, Nagash, Teclis etc all have * cavalry - the cold ones are some of the worst models ive seen in any model line. they will change these and the new ones will be larger and look good IMHO. id expect a more savage version of the dark elf design style probable * dual salamander/razerdon kit * apparently the FW dread saurian is no longer for sale - so a plastic dread saurian could make sense long shots * 1 new LARGER dino - i REALLY want a thunder lizard (ie. a massive kit, like that necron apocalypse plastic set -- forgot name) - a true show stopper. Something that would make even people thatdont care about GW want it - ie. D&D players, general painters, etc. BUT thats a long shot . I do think some other large dino may be there, even if we get a dread saurian but most likely just stegadon or slightly larger then stegadon size (probably something, sadly, we havent ever heard of in lore) * couatl flyer with skink priest rider * arcanadon (it was mentioned in...the 7e book i think? so its out there. it says its rare) - maybe bring back the Lustria war machine for it? or something brand new * Mazdamundi - character/special monster dual kit - a larger/wider stegadon... not sure if they still have regular and ancient, but if they do, another type - primal or something. so you can make that special stegadon or make a Mazdamundi mounted version. this would be a kroak level show piece character and hopefully, to go along with some new showpiece dinosaur as mentioned above. regards Sanjay
Wait stop, hold on a minute - what have I missed? I mean it does not surprise me in the least given Kroak's prior feats, but I have not heard of this I don't think.
Hi, All those ideas sound incredible( Not for my Wallet). I would like it if they went into some of the old lore for inspiration. That Coatl could be awesome. My hope at the moment would be that all the finecast sculpts are redone, so Krox, sallies, razordons, chamo skinks, starseer, eternity warden, sunblood. They might get rid of some of the foot saurus heroes if they can’t have a role. It’d be a shame if they did. Probably endless spells? We’re one of the only factions without them I think? 100% agree on the arcanodon, that was amazing. I can totally see a Slann on his back throwing spells at people. On the one hand I hope We get lots of new stuff, but I also want every thing to bring something a bit unique to the table and it seems hard to juggle too many warscrolls. PS. Wasn’t trying to start a dispute, just trying to keep an open mind on what the rumour could be. I’m hoping for both to get new models.
I am very sure there will be a new Astrolith Bearer in the mix as well. This will mostly be the case I think Grrr, !mrahil
Chameleon skinks were replaced, we're just waiting for them to be released seperately from the sundered fate box
Last I heard, all Slann were capable of this and did do this before the last seraphon book was dropped a few years ago.
True, just thought it was meant that Kroak did something extra that other Slann could not, basically like he revived himself.
The only real problem is that before March there won't be any more previews, if there are any for us, and in any case before June we won't be able to have the new lizards. Ok that will be a good time to finish painting the last lizards that I still have gray but..... how far away is summer, too far away.
To the best of my knowledge, it was said in the 1st edition book that the Slann conjured all the Seraphon from their memories, but there was no mention of specific individuals. Kroak was actually able to bring the Skink Priest who led the Celestial Stampede back from the dead as he said he still had a part to play in the Great Plan. But I think new Kroxigors, Saurus Knights and a dual Salamander/Razordon kit are pretty much a given. I *really* want Kroq-Gar back, but honestly knowing how they do things it's much more likely we get one new named foot hero. GW doesn't support FW models, so the Dread Saurian probably goes away entirely, unfortunately. However I think most of our other finecast models get a refresh.
In one of the Broken Realms books, Starwarden Iq-To leads a Thunder Lizard army to destroy a silver tower of Tzeentch. It ends up exploding and killing him along with his entire force. After the space battle (long story) Kroak resurrects Iq-To / thinks him back into existence seeing as he did exactly as the Great Plan asked.
And why are all wh players not yelling at gw to make this happen... they have that army of giants... now thunder lizards as core troops or what ever ppl call it now. To the person above, fw has turned some fw models into standard. Trygon and baneblade for example Sanjay
I meant more in the lore sense of basically every single named character from WHF surviving the end times and getting on ships that ended up in the mortal realms with no stop-offs inbetween, many died in stasis along the way and some ships were lost in the void but it’s kind of weird only two characters have returned given that. Especially when some of them (Tehenuin and Nakai) were basically just semi-immortal avatars of things that also survived the journey (Sotek and the lustrian jungle). For example, there’s a pretty sizeable list of named Slann from WHF, most who are just offhand mentions or one-offs from little lore tidbits, but GW has chosen to not re-use any of them for one-off or off-hand mentions in the mortal realms (with the single exception of the Koatl’s Claw Slann) for some reason. Possibly because their policy on lizardmen names has changed to draw less from the real-world language a lot of those ones were, but even then I find it kind of odd and would find it weirder if we didn’t get a named character return in this refresh. Not that we specifically need old characters to return, I’m always happy when the mortal realms gets to shine with its own native cast, but their absence seems weird and GW hasn’t even really given us any new characters outside of the starblood stalkers, who might all be dead after successfully blowing up that mountain in ghur Yeah it seems like all Slann can remember individuals back into existence, IIRC the second ed tome has a Slann who constantly resurrects his favored priest back over and over, though each time subtle details change compared to the last. When Kroak does it the narration paints it as less remembering someone back into existence from your memories of them, and more like shaping them out of star-stuff (even if they were coalesced before) using the cosmic memory of them, the ripples and echo of their existence on the fabric of fate itself. All Slann of the starborne constellations sort of the do the same thing when they summon down their troops from the temple-ships, the perceptions and mental state of their Slann shifting their star-stuff as he pulls them down into the realms, though it seems like that’s less a purposeful thing and just a result of how powerful and attuned to the magic they’re made of the Slann are, that their minds act like pottery wheels when summoning forces to them.
Thunder Lizard is the name of a Seraphon subfaction - sadly it wasn't a whole army of actual thunder lizards
@Togetic , heard. Frankly I'm surprised they haven't used "a ship came through the void today out of nowhere" to reintroduce tenihuinan
do we know they are going to be packaged up? ive been looking on ebay trying to find someone selling them individually. (there were some, nothing right now) * eyes well up like Puss in Boots * regards Sanjay
