I suspect that is almost certainly going to be the case. Both the Lumineth and Slaves to Darkness received a similar premier/collector box with a unique battle tome, enhancement cards and other accessories, in addition to the early release models. Both of these boxes were released 2-3 months prior to the main release of the battletome and models. The Warhammer Community adepticon recap article also said the following: "This treasure trove of tooth and claw will be coalescing before the rest of the range, giving your first taste of Seraphon supremacy." https://www.warhammer-community.com...ight-and-majesty-of-the-seraphon-is-revealed/
I totally forgot about the long time delay, this is highly annoying... I don't want the box. So the standalone boxes and other kits will probably releases early June, immidiatedly prior to the release of 10th and the its release box (which I do want). Argh... the timing could not be worse.
It's the old "one-two combo" where GW grabs the cash in your front pocket and then steals your wallet.
I think it's more like the universe telling me I should play more lotteries. The chance of my primary 40k army and my primary AoS army getting significant range refreshes in the same year is 1/21 x 1/24 = 0.048 x 0.042 = 0.002%. And to top it all off, it's not one army in the beginning of the year and one army in autumn or whatever... but noooo, it's two consecutive months (might even end up both in one month). I mean come on, lol.
I've actually been waiting until Tyranids get an update and I've actually been doing the lottery lol. I was about to get a Tyrannofex and then I saw the adepticon stream...
Well model-wise Tyrannofex is fine. The only question is if it is going to be of any use on the table in 10th. Just magnetize it (as you do with big Nids), one of the gun options should be ok. You can even magnetize the Tervigon belly with a bit of greenstuff, but I have a feeling it will be bad in 10th.
I meant Trygon* oops. I liked the model enough just to buy it solely for the purpose of painting it but its gone the way of the dinosaurs... I definitely wanted the Tyrannofex as part of a Tyranid army though.
Hard to say how soon ahead of the main release it will be. The Slaves to Darkness army box (w/battletome) came out in early November, but the actual release date for the new battletome and the rest of the range released late January. Similar gap between the Astra Militarum and Leagues of Votann army box w/tome and the actual release date. Some tournaments allowed the new rules, while others didn't until the official release date for tournament play.
The trygons are still fairly good models. They have an abundance of attacks but they are way way overpriced
Overpriced in terms of points or money? They're gone now anyway and I don't feel like stripping paint off a model that big
Oof, I could buy a 1000 point army for the cost of those 3. I was thinking of a black and red colour scheme for my Tyranids when their refresh is over, I kind of like a more intimidating and creepy aesthetic
Is this normal? Shoudn't skinks be 'temporarily out of stock' too? Rather than 'No longer available'?
With Dark Sphere, they have a warning message saying "Out of Stock at Games Workshop". Maybe they're having significant manufacturing/supply/logistics problems?
Really? I think the Skinks are one of our best "older" kits. I'm total fan of the look of the new Skinks.
