Its more likely that its a typo since the Engine of the Gods is ridden by a Skink Priest and it would be stupid if it loses its Leader role
To be fair, since Skink Priests are no longer a unit in the army, they've lost the logic behind them being a leader/priest because the on-foot version is (and maybe won't have that wording at all in their new scroll) but I do hope you're right since they're just a fun thing to have leading armies, even if the recent priest+arcane tome nerf is lame on them. You'd think that if they're not Leaders then they'd at least be Battleline in Thunder Lizards, since normal stegadons are and these guys match the theme of big beasts and old one tech perfectly anyway
Why do they so consistently refuse to give these kinda rules a minimum value they aren't completly screwed against single entity units... Saurus rules Can't say I like range limit on the bite rule. Limiting it to within 1" of the model seems a bit short ranged for a unit with 10 models.
Random thoughts based on the teaser and leaks so far. -Despite it being the "Summer of the Saurus" we've lost two Saurus foot heroes. I never really used the Eternity Warden, but I had a soft spot for the Sunblood. Plus, just based on lore and legacy, I hate to see them go. -Skink Priest?! NOOOoooooo! I guess there was some thematic overlap with each of the Saurus heroes and each of the Skink heroes, but our Skink Priest was useful. I hate to see him go for that reason, and again because of lore/legacy. I am starting to worry that Seraphon have lost units with the "Priest" keyword all together. I guess GW doesn't want an army to have both? Do many other armies have both? -Saurus Warriors. I like the extra wound and objective holding feature of the Saurus. It seems strange to turn their bites into a MW special rule, even if their previous bite profile was so-so. It just reads a little clunky b/c they are basically bite attacks with a 1" range. I assume GW is trying to simplify their combat profiles? Could this mean that KC is losing bonus bite attacks? -To the point of bite attacks; if the bite of a Saurus now does a MW what the heck does the bite of a Kroxigor do? Plus, Kroxigor as battleline?... you have my attention, GW. -It doesn't look like Guard are getting as much love? Likely just still Slann babysitters. But, if they have the Saurus Warrior features in addition to a 3+ save and bodyguard rule, they should be good. -I know GW is pushing the new Raptadons, but (without seeing rules yet) I hate that our flyers aren't getting any battleline love. I know not every unit can be OP, but I hope they have a role. -We haven't seen the full rules for our new Salamander, but I'm not impressed with the long range attack teased several weeks ago (just 1 attack at 4+). Other than that, it sounds like it will be a horde killer with not much impact vs. small units or heroes? That's a bummer.
Thank you Etra, plenty of reading to do now! Bastiladon was already good now its even better with -3 rend and 3 damage as standard.
but no double shoot so he falls behind there. on the other hand his monster rampage is good and the ark isn't terable now so you can totaly run the cheep version
