Sorry, you are too predictable to be chaotic. About half the members on L-O are more chaotic than you and about are less.
We have multiple people disappear for large periods of time and then like bomb things. We have professional artists who disappear for large periods of time and then make awesome art. I would say Mrs. Nightbringer is more chaotic than you if you want a specific example. We have had some negative chaos too that Killer Angel alluded to. EDIT: Chaos is a disruption of the status quo. @NIGHTBRINGER , in many ways you are the status quo.
It's always a good day when I can break out a 300 meme! That said, I don't disagree with your definition of "Chaos is a disruption of the status quo." I see chaos as a disruption of order (i.e. disorder), which in your definition is represented by the status quo. Fair enough, we can go with that. But, before we do, Chaos has a second meaning in the context of this forum, which is a reference to the Dark Gods (Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle, Slaanesh... as well as Hashut). Obviously when I labelled myself a Chaos Angel, I am invoking this meaning as well. An angel to a Chaos Angel would by similar to a Dwarf to a Chaos Dwarf. Or a man to a Chaos Warrior. I can give you one guess as to who plays the greatest role of Chaos Dwarf promoter on the forum. Anyways, that's enough of a diversion. Your response (to my challenge: "Name a more chaotic element on the forum than me.") is tuned towards our first definition of Chaos, so let's explore that. You're right, we do have multiple people who do that. Quite a few in fact. Almost as if that is part of the status quo itself. Skill level aside, this is essentially the status quo. Many members post highly infrequently, have large absences and then pop in to post pictures of what they have worked on. This does not break the mold, it is the mold. This is not rare... outside of the high level of skill itself (which is a better expression of artistic order than chaos). Most of our 11,207 members are in the same boat, as in they have accounts with less than 100 posts. Most people sign up and then disappear or infrequently post the odd message. That is literally the most status quo thing on the forum. I would bet that of our 11k members, 8-10k of them fit into this category. Hence, that IS the status quo. However there is only a single instance of anyone breaking 60k posts. Something that was completely unheard of until I showed up. My posting frequency is a complete and utter departure from the status quo. Ah yes... they are agents of Chaos. Single-minded frenzied Khorne warriors. Cannon fodder for the meat grinder. I prefer the Tzeentch approach. Don't get me wrong, the Khorne method can be fun in a more aggressive forum environment, but Lustria Online is a very friendly forum though, and as such, I find it a bit out of place here. On a different forum though, during an earlier time... some fun was had (though it was in defense of another member). Okay, so let's looking at the breaking of and/or departing from the status quo: the most outlying posting rate on the forum a guy on a Lizardmen/Seraphon forum, who focuses almost exclusively on non-Lizardmen/Seraphon armies (CD, WoC, TK) before me, the General Chat sub-forum was pretty much an underused afterthought, but I smashed that status quo, spearheading its growth into largest sub-forum on LO general trollery (i.e. my Loki side) you know perfectly well that I've been part of (sometimes the cause of) some of the more "heated" debates on the forum. Similar to what you and @Killer Angel mentioned above, but still comfortably (or maybe uncomfortably) within the confines of forum rules/etiquette. Admittedly less so as of late. the status quo of the current day forum is a heavy focus of AoS. In such a world, I might be the most pronounced anti-AoS voice. I've been labelled the pollbringer and the memebringer (in recognition of me being the greatest outlier in terms of such content) is this a Seraphon forum or a Star Wars one? (and according to your Goliath / Xanatos meme... because of you!) I could go on... I'm nothing if not an outlier on the forum. And an outlier is the opposite of the status quo. And to leave us off, a more concrete (and amusing) example: the short story contest exists with the status quo of topic driven Lizard-featured stories I usher @Lizards of Renown into the embrace of Hashut and he introduces a story featuring Chaos Dwarfs this amuses me and through a combination of promotion, trollery and voting, I help drive (an already great story written by @Lizards of Renown , credit where credit is due) to victory I then introduce a new rule where I'll auto vote for CD stories others stories are released with reference to Chaos Dwarfs to garner the ever-valuable vote another Chaos Dwarf story wins the contest! the status quo is broken, without ever needing to write a story myself Hashut is honored on a Lizardmen forum... and will likely be honored again in the future! This fits both definitions of Chaos. The breaking of the status quo and the promotion of the Chaos Dwarfs. There is no escape from Chaos. The NIGHTBRINGER marks us all.
