Let's Get Motivated - July 2023

Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - July 2023

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

This will be difficult month, as there will some vacations and stuff to deal with.

Finish stripping final Stegadon and reprime it
Paint murder chickens
Preshade new warriors
Possibly paint few DG models

 

So this month i'm doing a slightly lighter month due to having to spend a week cat sitting for sister, so doubt I will get anything painted in that time.

However, with one exception all of this month's building/painting/basing are all going to be non-Citadel models.

I've got some Perry Historical miniatures (Prussian Dragoon and an 8mm French Mounted Brigadier), a Punga miniature ('Bloodbowl' ratman pirate), a Bolt Action mini (WW2 North Africa Australian), an Admiral Miniatures mini (a Tjubling Bull Centaur), some non-GW Grey Seer (that one of my old UnderEmpire buddies sent me a while back), and a Citadel Termagant...which is breaking my rules already but it's for a painting competition at my local store...so is the one exception I will try and beastmode out of the way asap.

- Paint a small army of Moria Goblins

Exactly. Doing even single mini, playing single game, or even just staring at unbuilt box, or reading rules. All is considered hobbying.

Third of month already. Oof...

Nurgle gave the house a visit and screw my plans.

Managed to smash out a few more models just leaving two to paint and two to base. Not going to be able to paint until the 26th, so it might be a little closer than it looks.

 

And of the month recap: I have entered my story in the current contest, gave my Moria scenery a base layer of paint and had some splashes of paint on moria goblin models... (far below my standard of painted models on the table, but nonetheless) I had a game night with my brother
