Let's Get Motivated - October 2023

Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - October 2023

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

As mentioned before, this month I'll be busy with some personal projects, but since my birthday is soon, I'll definitley end up with some fun stuff. My plans so far are:

• Paint the skinks
• Enter my project for the Feathered Serpent (if it is approved of course)
• Mess around with some models and see what happens

If anything new pops up I'll post my updates here

 

Gonna make this a tree month

• Paint/re-paint and base a 2000 point army of Sylvaneth(posted on my blog)

That's it but a rather large task that I have little faith I will actually complete but of course any progress is good progress. I will point out my Warhammer month may end at any point due to the arrival of my second child.

 

I plan to paint:

13 ogres for my buddy Kevin
5 ice wolves for my buddy Kevin
3 trolls, again for Kevin

3 additional orc heavy infantry (brutes proxies)

5 kruleboyz guttrippas
1 murknob with belcha banner

What I have already painted:

1 Killaboss on Great Gnashtoof
3 orc heavy infantry (brutes proxies)
10 Hobgrot slittaz

 

First update... I realised that I miscounted. There are 27 tyranids this month...

Finish my tyranid half of leviathan (27 models, oof) - 11 done
Finish unit of aggradons
Finish DG rhino
Make something from new hirst art molds - started working on house

 

This month i have just a little free time, ill try:
Finish my shroudrunners (only 1 raider left)
Find a proper scheme for my skinks, im having trouble with this
Kitbash Starseer
Kitbash Astrolith bearer
Start my hobby blog in this forum

 

Second third of the month progress... Basically nothing new here. Three more tyranids finished and small progress on building.

Finish my tyranid half of leviathan (24 models, oof) - 14 done
Finish unit of aggradons - well... I at least transported them to place where I will paint them...
Finish DG rhino- nope
Make something from new hirst art molds - run out of bricks, run out of plaster...

 

Leviathan is missing 10 models, DG Rhino is half done and I am waiting for opportunity to cast some more plaster.
Well, at least I finished those aggradons this month.

 

I realized I hadn't set any goals for this month
The only real goal I had was to enter a story in the current short-story contest.

I achieved it, so all of my goals are achieved this month
