Exactly that. Over here you have to glue the miniature together in store.

That's interesting at my local store they come prebuilt in a box and when they're out they're out.

 

That is interesting indeed... It takes away some assembly freedom though.
When on vacation in Belgium(French speaking part) I just got the model on sprue and was able to take that with me... perhaps because of the language barrier

I wonder how this is done in some more other countries

I found an old project and some blue tack. I put the stuff together for a better view of the envisioned result:

Just so much love for this, very creative. This is blissful to me, just picturing this creature gliding through clouds (assuming those wings are meant for flying and not swimming lol), much like whales are often depicted

You're correct, he is meant to fly

Not settled on the chains yet, perhaps a set of reigns from the Carnosaur will fit better with the Seraphon theme.
The whole thing is magnetized for easier storage, meaning the platform, front and back shell can be separated.

Last weekend I played a little game of MESBG with my oldest son (10). He is really getting a like for the hobby

He used his 5 painted models (Rivendel elves and Numenorians) and 4 of mine. I took 10 Gondor models (roughly 115 points each)



Like last Game... I lost marvelously

Due to the game above and planned scenario with my brother I took a look through my Rivendel models and had an idea:
I bought the new Elrond master of Rivendel set a while back (both elronds are somewhere on the painting desk) and noticed the unbuild banner bearer in combination with spare bit of the Rivendel Knights and a custom Gil-Galad is born:

Gil-galad was an elven-king.
Of him the harpers sadly sing;
the last whose realm was fair and free
between the Mountains and the Sea.

His sword was long, his lance was keen.
His shining helm afar was seen;
the countless stars of heaven's field
were mirrored in his silver shield.

But long ago he rode away,
and where he dwelleth none can say;
for into darkness fell his star
in Mordor where the shadows are.

Ooh looking good! Really cool models I have mine primed but I haven't touched him yet.

 

Thanks, yes they are very cool. The poses are very dynamic and the detail is great.
