A unit of 2 Salamanders fire into a unit: My friend says I need to place the template, calculate hits and then roll to wound one at a time for each salamander. resulting in a smaller unit footprint for the next breath weapon to land on and be less partial hits. I say because they're in the same unit, breathing at the same time we calculate hits and rolls to wound all at once which is obviously more favorable because there will be more models to hit Tell me I'm right?
Yes you are, you shoot with the same unit models at the same time. The same as to have an hero in an archers unit. You shoot separately but you don’t have any penalty due models dieing in the while. By the way salamander are long away for be enough intelligent to wait the others salamander breath effect… the just fire together..
Thanks a lot, I thought so. I pointed to the order of operations for shooting and how calxulate hits comes before rolling to wound. Just a side note, I can't believe Salamanders don't have move through cover. I can't hide them on forests and find that limiting.
No they haven’t this but they are acquatic now you are going also rarely to charge so it’s not a big problem usually. Where I play we use a lot of lakes so for me is far enough
