I want to be Superman as much as Gandalf wants the One Ring. I would try to be a force for good, but you would all be lucky if it took me a full five year years to declare myself High Councilor of Earth like in the Injustice Gods Among Us comic series.

Either that or the CCP and/or Putin opted to nuke humanity into extinction rather than let me dethrone them.

If I could be any superhero, I'd want to be Freakazoid. I want to goof around and make silly jokes and flirt with pretty girls.

    That's where we differ.

I'm already in... you don't have to try to sell me on it. :p

Join the dark side, we've got cookies!

With Superman's powers you could kill them before they'd even have a chance to react. Super speed is so much more broken than it is depicted to be in the movies/comics.

That could happen even if you were batman..
But if you are obscenely rich thatre's also a good chance that you could just live your billionaire's life and don't care about the rest of the world.

Let's be honest, with Superman's powers you could be insanely rich too. Much more so in fact.

Multiple Batman writers cover the question "Why don't kill the Joker? (and only the Joker)."

Joker is arguably the only Batman villain that has zero capacity for redemption. He also kills, tortures, and maims just for fun as opposed to for some goal. It has been argued by many people that by not killing the Joker when he could, Batman is ultimately complicit in every crime Joker commits every time he escapes Arkham.

The first answer Batman gives is usually that if he killed Joker, the worst Gotham villain, eventually the same rationale would come up that he should kill the second worst villain in Gotham who is now the worst villain. That is ultimately what happens to Superman in the Injustice series. He keeps crossing new uncrossable lines one at a time.

The second answer Batman sometimes gives is that Joker represents an avatar of Gotham's evilness. If Joker died, someone else would take up the mantle.

Both answers Batman usually gives would apply to me if I had Superman's powers (which is basically an unlimited ability to kill people you don't like), after I popped my murder cherry once, it would be easier to do it again.

The Soviet Union is official dissolved and Russia is something different but Putin is very much a product of the USSR. If he died, someone equally bad would take his place. The CCP is a vast institution. There are thousands of CCP officials who could theoretically take Xi Jing Ping's place.

Hypothetically, if I had Superman's power I could fly into one of the parties large meeting and kill everyone.

But at that point, I wouldn't be able to save "Okay, now you guys are are going to become a liberal democracy!" I'd have to take over at that point, and then I wouldn't be me.

Also, Joseph Kony is still alive. He is probably more evil than anyone else alive today, he just happens to be a very localized (almost Joker-like) evil.

I don't know how long I'd have to spend going after small scale warlords and criminals.

You could... but you would have absolutely no need to. The sheer imbalance of power you'd possess could be leveraged to achieve peace relatively easily.

I recall a story told to me a long while back. There was a protest at the time where the protesters illegally closed down a road. When they were official ordered to disband, they refused. There were roughly 50 of them and they were armed. In response, the person in charge of breaking up the blockade showed up with 500 military personal and disbanded the group without incident. After everything was done, he was interviewed by a reporter who asked him why he chose to escalate the situation by showing up with such a disproportionately large number of soldiers. He replied by stating that if he had shown up with 50 officers to break up the 50 protesters, violence was a very possible outcome. By showing up with 10 times the manpower, the power disparity was so great that their peaceful surrender was assured.

How many of those people just want to get back to their families? Why would they oppose a force that they had 0% chance of overcoming. It's one thing to fight back bravely against extremely long odds, but it is entirely a different thing to fight back against literally impossible odds. This is doubly true in a country were they have been ruled from top down through fear, power and intimidation. They are already accustomed to kowtowing to those with greater strength.

Some extreme religious zealots might be the exception to this rule (as they believe their suicidal death would be rewarded in the afterlife), but for the most part the masses would fall in line.

That is not the worst idea. He was bonkers, kind of confusing, but he had fun and (intentionally or not) made a lot of people smile.
