Let's not be associating the GOAT with this crummy model!

I did so simply because in the Warhammer Community post the model was claimed to be the 'GOAT' of Blood Bowl... so as bad as the model is, he is effectively the equivalent of your beloved Messi in Blood Bowl, like it or not :p

    New Seraphon/Lizardmen models for Underworlds!

Gor-rok/Sunblood model is back as Kro-jax (not crazy about that name). The other two Saurus models (just two?) are okay. Then we have a very non-lizard looking statue with snakes, lizards, and a frog.

    Seraphon vs Nurgle

Now... The question that immediately comes to mind... In the actual AoS rules, will that Sunblood compare with the Sunblood of 3E, who was a glorious beatstick that I nicknamed "the lawnmower" for how good he was at cutting down the foe?

Yes, I am still very salty that the Sunblood was cut from the last battletome. And the Eternity Warden.

I guess we'll see. Underworld warbands used to get some AoS rules, but I'm not sure about 4.0.

Until I see proof the contrary, I am snorting healthy doses of Hopium.

I would like to have seen one updated temple guard model. Maybe GW doesn't have plans to update that sculpt? Or maybe they just don't want to reveal that design yet? But I think it would create anticipation in the Lizard community again.

Agreed. The old sculpts just look so goofy and like they're suffering from the lizard version of dwarfism when stood next to their supposedly less badass cousins.

I suppose the logic could be "the lizard community got their big thing this time last year, they can keep". But to me, the fact we got our latest battletome literally two months before the hype train for 4E started, we should be getting a new battletome early this edition to make up for it. I wouldn't put money on GeeDubs thinking that way though.

Personally, I still like the current Guard models. But, they don't share the new Seraphon aesthetic, so they might stick out a bit. Maybe GW will update the Eternity Warden and Guard for our tome?

I just want to have someone write the Seraphon tome that actually seems to like the army. I don't need us to be bonkers good like LRL, but a nice balance of interesting rules and good scrolls.

Those are very nice! I like Gor-Rok and the Saurus holding the spear the best. All are great though.

Am I the only one seeing a finger print on the center of Gor-Rok's base's rim?

Pretty sure it's not a finger print... but still amusing to notice.

Now... considering that is an updated sculpt... can somebody explain why he has the most severe case of square toe? Look at those middle toes! Those are the most squared talons I've ever seen. Just... they rub me the wrong way. They should be tapering to a point, not this broad screw-head shape.

I hadn't seen that, but I did notice a finger print on the head of his club. It is faint, but noticeable.

Good to see Saurus getting a Warband all to themselves, though still going for the fat-footed, short-jawed, scaly Orc Saurus aesthetic I see :(

Though the new Gor-Rok I must admit looks better than the old Finecast model... there was something about the rounded jaws and bulky armour of the old model that looked off, too much like what you'd see on a Bastiladon to fit on a predatory Saurus.

He and the Jungle Swarm are the best models by far.

And here I would have guessed that you would have been repping the Nurgle boyz. ;)
